Jamal Murray!

So is Denver just going to run 3 guards with the Kic-es?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

This draft is tougher than usual for me. I mean even that pick was kind of last minute. And I switched my previous one right after making it and am second guessing that.

Its all good hombre!

I have been in the same boat. i made a big list of targets and started seeing them go one after another after another after another. Then its a mad scramble to do more research. Hell, i was all gun hoe for two other players with my last pick, but with Murray having a great preseason and an awesome stat filled night tonight, i doubted him being there for one of my later picks, so i had to snag him as others have reached for guys on my list that i believed would be there at a round or two later.

Sorry Bdub! I didn't want to go ultra young with my entire roster in case a few didn't pan out. I wanted to make sure a few of them could actually ball this year and next.

That's a good pick. I almost took him with my last pick. If I didn't need a center so bad I probably would have. I was hoping somehow he would make it to my next pick, but knew it wasn't likely.

Also, I just DL'ed the Realgm app. Even though I'm getting a replacement phone sometime this week.

Yeah no worries man, but I think me and Kerrsed probably had our minds made up long ago so we were just getting antsy.

Yeah, I almost take guys 30 spots higher than they should go based on rankings just because "if you want the guy, you better take him, especially if you like him better than anyone else at this point". Sometimes it's stupid to not take a guy you really want the most at the time because you think he will be there next time ESPECIALLY in this draft.

But this draft is fun and interesting, and I think deciding to pick our keepers will be interesting too.

I considered someone else at the last minute, but decided to stick to my guns and get RHJ while I still could. Should help me stay afloat in steals, and help me in rebounds which I really needed.

Cool story bro.

Just kidding. I hate using the app. Honestly it's much easier for me to just open realgm in a chrome browser on my tablet, phone or whatever and do it like I am on a laptop. Tapatalk I think is worse, though they are both bad. App isn't that bad for reading, but for posting and getting around the entire forums quickly (which I need) it sucks.

Exactly, hell i still have a reply tab open with the other guy i was going to pick and my reasoning for the pick. I made it while you were working on your buffness, and had it all set to post for when you came back, but the longer you took the more time it gave me to research more. Once i saw the numbers Murray was putting up tonight, i knew i had to grab him asap, as he is going to be a stud in the future, and all the guys i want for my future get grabbed 2 rounds earlier than i was thinking they would. I now see this draft as "If you really want someone no matter their projected round placement, you better grab them ASAP".

Its going to be real interesting, as i think we are only allowed 7 keepers, so the rest of the guys will be thrown back to redraft.

I went into this draft trying to place myself in a good spot to win the 1st few years with solid stat producing vets that others would shy away from due to age, with the idea that there should be at least 4-6 good rookies to draft every year. Add in other no names that start to have a breakout year due to trades/position moves/playing time, and that should still keep me in the hunt for years to come.

Yeah, I'm trying for that year 1 title, so I'll always have that to hang my hat on. There are always rookies that surprise and come into bigger roles, so I hope being active on the waiver wire will inject my squad with youth. Rondae would've been more of a ceremonial spot on my roster than a player whose production I needed, but that doesn't make me any less pissed at Zero. Chriss and Hield are two rookies that I would've liked to have on my squad. They should have good rookie production and grow into bigger roles.

You can't do that, because it would alter the time line and we don't know what ramifications would be for mankind.

No, ridiculously dumb jokes aside, and I didn't see this until after like 3 or 4 picks had gone by, but I'm guessing no one responded because they didn't want you to take their guy. It does suck that Miyagi picked his within a minute (time stamped the same minute as yours) though. Let us know who it was when that guy gets drafted or if he makes it to your next pick. Will be interesting to know.

Chriss and Hield were my 2 big rookie targets. I knew there was no way i would land Chriss as there would be somebody that would reach incredibly high to get him, but i was fairly certain i could get Buddy. Losing out on him was a kick in the nuts.

Yeah, i didnt see the post till 2 other people (after Miyagi) made their picks. I PM'd Mathias and told him i would have had him PM Miyagi to make sure he didnt want that player (Gallo), and if he didnt, it would have likely been fine, but with there already being 3 picks made after his, it was a little too late.
