MCW seems like a nice kid but he's also the most unpleasant flavor of player - both mediocre and ball-dominant.

He's also not a nice kid, he was an egotistical jackass in Philly.

You think the ROY award gassed him up? Or was he just like that? This is his third team while still in his rookie contract. He's being passed around like a hot potato. That's got to effect him at this point.

Dude's traded for TONY SNELL & we were bashing Philly for trading him for a top 3 pick lol. Philly stole that.

Anyways - Chicago prob realized Canaan isn't a pg, & the MCW - Canaan - Valentine - Dougie combo off the bench can provide enough versatility. Make MCW kinda like a less cool version of Evan Turner & he'll be fine.

MCW looks like a prick/douche anyways. He should be humbled by now or he'll be playing in China pretty soon.

Disclaimer: Not a political statement

Is whoever is making the NBA playoff slogans working for Hillary now? Stronger Together feels like one of those corny slogans lol.

I can't stand Dennis Schroder. What a scumbag. Comes into the game and chest bumps Tim Frazier before the inbounds play. Refs didn't see it. This guy's evil and I hope someone flagrant 2s him early in the year and just lays his teenie Rondo wannabe ass out.

Watching this Sac-LAC game right now. I feel for Dave Joerger. I have no idea how he is going to get this group to play together. He starts 2 Centers in the frontcourt, neither of which knows how to defend the pick n roll, a perpetual singularity at SF, a backup PG at starting PG, and a SG coming off a terrible season. And speaking of Boogie, I may have changed my mind. I don't think I'm ready to sacrifice the potential greatness of our team defense even for a All-Star Center if he's so lazy and so undisciplined defensively. Our group has the potential to be special at the defensive end. I'd rather just wait.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Cauley-Stein is the high Kings draft pick I would try and trade for if I was Ainge.

I'm not a big fan on him either.

I'm just not high on ATL this year. Korver is bound to fall off a bit. Millsap contract year, rumors, knee surgery.

Schroeder to me is not this Rondo wannabe pass first, defensive pg that ppl make him out to be. In my eyes, he's more of a wanna be scorer. I know Teague was like that too, but Horford being gone is a play maker gone for them. So they need Schroeder to create. Plus Jack isn't a great back up at this point.

I don't think they make the playoffs. I don't think they'll be bad, but like .500-ish.

Yeah, post-ACL Jack is likely going to be terrible. Schroder is very wild.

BUT. Bud is a really good coach. Howard gives them a rebounding/physical presence they were severely lacking (an awful rebounding team last year). And they have plenty of talent. Schroder can score and create at high volume. Howard's still very capable as a lob man and paint finisher. Millsap is of course excellent all-around. Taurean Prince one of the more ready to go rooks out there. Bazemore is solid. Korver and Thabo getting old but still effective. Mike Scott a strong bench guy.

They could fall apart in a hurry sure, but they could also be an upgraded version of last year's Pistons. Howard in particular gives them a weapon to bully skinny frontlines like ours.

Wow really great article by Ethan Strauss regarding GS and Draymond Green's general level of difficulty to be around. One quote by, iirc, Mo Speights, that apparently Klay Thompson and D. Green got into it "a lot."

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/17790252/golden-state-draymond-green-problem

That's why they need to jack up those max salaries by juuust a little bit and create a little more pressure there.

Actually on a related note, I've come around to the idea that the assist might be the worst stat in basketball. So many chumps just chasing assists for triple doubles.

What's everyone looking forward to this season (that's not related to the Cs)? Personally, I can't wait for the Howard experiment to fail massively in his own home town. Very excited for the GS/OKC games as well.

The link 165 posted is a great read. Some highlights

When it's his turn to address the crowd, Green, victory cap slightly askew, shambles across the podium, snatches the mic and declares that he's excited to be speaking. Golden State PR maestro Raymond Ridder, Green explains, "tried not to let me talk today. He know I'm gonna get controversial."

And then he proceeds to validate most all of Ridder's fears: "With these guys, everything's fun. The only time it's not fun is practice ... film ... games ... bus rides. I'm the only person that gets talked about what shots I take and all those things by Steve Kerr. Like, every time I take a shot, he complains. So that's why, if you see, every time I make a shot, I look at him. Dude complain every time I take a shot."

From his seat on the stage behind Green, Kerr shrugs and loudly counters: "Twenty-four percent!" Which just happens to be Green's 3-point shooting percentage during the final three rounds of the playoffs.

Green chuckles, bounds over, grabs Kerr from his chair and drags him to the podium. There are hypothetically a few drops of tension to be wrung from this moment. "This my guy," Draymond starts, prompting Kerr to pat his chest. "From the start of training camp, he hated me. That's no lie. He probably still hates me. That's no lie. But we going to keep winning these championships -- and that's no lie."

Kerr, who's been gamely laughing at the display, steals the mic. "You know how they start to play music at the Oscars when it starts to go on a little long and security comes and grabs the guy? That may happen here in a few minutes. Thanks, though, Draymond," he finally offers, before fleeing for the safety of his seat.

IT'S FEB. 27 in Oklahoma City, during halftime of a nationally televised game, and Green is losing his holy mind. Inside the visitors locker room, he's hollering "I am not a robot!" at Kerr. When Kerr tells him to sit down, Green screams, "Motherf---er, come sit me down!" When he goes after Kerr, his teammates, including Curry and Thompson, step in to stave off disaster.

Minutes later, in her report following halftime, ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters will recite a portion of Green's explosion: "I am not a robot! I know I can play! You have me messed up right now! If you don't want me to shoot, I won't shoot the rest of the game!"

"I'm standing outside the locker room with the Oklahoma City police, which are always stationed outside of every locker room," Salters will later recall. "They kind of moved me aside, and the officer just kind of stood by the door, with his hand on his weapon like he was trying to determine what he should do. It was clear that something bad was about to happen in this locker room. We've never heard anything like this before."

Can we stop with the "you can't win with Cousins cus he yells at his coach and looks at people meanly" arguments now?

The Knick's delusion. I'm really hoping they win enough that they think they have a core in place and extend Rose, destroying any chance at building around Porzingis becuase they have spent their entire cap on Rose, Melo and Noah. Of course if Rose did rape that girl then I don't want him getting any more money.

Jaylen Brown looking better than Ingrim and lakers fans being pissed.

The Lakers sucking again.

Seeing what happens in Philly with their big man situation.

Boogie's problem is that his headcasiness spills out on to the floor - he gets in his own head and self-sabotages - mentally weak. Green on the other-hand seems to be able to channel his anger and aholery into pimp-slapping the other team.
