I'm guessing he'll be our second leading scorer this year.

that would be nice, I don't think he will score more than Batum, but if he gets double figures I will be happy.

As much as I love MKG he has to get that shot sorted or he's going to end up a bit of a liability as well.
I don't want to give BrotherDave another player to despise, he might just end it all

I honestly doubt he'll get the chance. I don't see Cliff playing him more than 20 minutes a game and he'll likely get benched before Cho do him a favor by trading him to another team that see value in him.

If he keeps playing like this he will get minutes, it's not a personal vendetta with Clifford or anything.

Hmmm. Interesting game. Quite a bit to like, just as much not to.

Hibbert is so hard to watch. If he had 1/10 the hustle and grit of Lopez, he'd be dangerous, but more often than not he seems content to just lay back and watch the action around him. Like he's afraid to engage. I think we're in for a season full of Hibbert complaints. His wild pass outs after he was fed on cuts/rolls to the hoop against smaller (single) defenders, were just icing on the cake. Go strong, amigo.

Maybe Tobey? Guards don't look anything special and Wood is still very raw. The only tryout guy I'm even intrigued by is Graham, and he didn't play today due to injury.

On a related note, I'm kinda confused by Perry Ellis' presence on this team. We signed him a month or so ago, despite already being injured, and we've yet to see him play. Cut day is less than a week away, so...

Ellis has been sidelined with an injury. Too bad because I thought he might help with SF depth.
Ellis (sports hernia) was able to partake in some five-on-five work during Thursday's practice, Hornets radio play-by-play announcer Steve Martin reports. Ellis has yet to be cleared for action during the preseason as he continues to work his way back from a sports hernia he suffered earlier in the offseason. It's unclear if Ellis will be able to participate in Monday's preseason matchup with the Bulls, but regardless, the former Kansas star seems unlikely to make the team's opening night roster.

I don't know. Lamb can look great in stretches and then clueless. I like Lamb, but I remember his hot periods last season and then what happened.

Honestly I actually likd what I saw from Hibbert last night. 3 offensive rebounds and 3 blocks. Last year offensive rebounds and blocks were basically non existant for us. As long as he can run the floor, be a presence in the paint and grab some offensive rebounds ill be more than happy.

I think there's definitely going to be some adjustment for Hibbert before we see him at maximum effectiveness. He is very attentive on D and does a good job of recognizing when to rotate, but I do think he's still learning our system and there were a few rotations where we were off that I think will improve as he gets more accustomed to our system. He's actually seemed much more mobile than I thought he would, but I think part of that is that he usually knows where to be and is decisive so he doesn't seem to often be caught out of position. He is really going to struggle with bigs that can stretch the floor though, since he generally just hangs out around the paint so he can help out around the rim.

Like others have said, I am also concerned about having him and MKG on the floor for long stretches. You can tell that we're trying to include Hibbert on dives and PNR actions, which I think is partially to force defensive attention so his man doesn't just float and clog up driving lanes. I agree with Cliff though that he is a good passer, nice to know that if he gets jammed up that he can get the ball out without forcing a TO.

Looking at the box score, did not realize that DWade had 4 blocks last night.

I definitely like Roy more than Al, but I still have him behind Cody and Hawes. I don't like Roy with either the starting or bench units, but his skillset is still valuable in some matchups, so I'd still give him some minutes. I'd split average center minutes something like Cody (26), Hawes, (10), Roy (8), Frank (4).
