Tavares seems like a very nice big man who can block and rebound , how did he play in the summer league?

1st game was a little rough. He's gotten better as the games have gone on.

I don't think there is a price as he is not available.
He spent most of last season in the D-League, so hopefully he gets meaningful minutes in NBA games this year.

As part of an annual offseason in review series (credit to hawk eye!), a few of us on the TnT board have posted an Atlanta offseason review here -- viewtopic.php?f=2&p=48855496#p48855496
As always, curious to hear Atlanta fans take on the offseason.

Why do they keep scheduling the Cavs late in the season when everyone's mind is already of the playoffs?

Also happy that our schedule isn't front loaded like last year.

It is really a pity this forum does not have more posts. Sometimes I even think nobody is posting. It is also my fault, as lack of interventions prevent me from posting, as usually there ir no feedback... unless for a few days.

I have been reading some of the thoughts on the changes we have made. As many things have been said and more or less everybody talks about the same ones, I will comment on just a couple of them.

I believe the Howard addition is really interesting. That will give us intimidation, rebounding and defense, which Millsap will take advantage to free his game and be more of a scorer. Howard seems to be commited, so I believe the change is good. Horford was giving us versatility, but he absolutely did not attack the low post and was offering no rebounding.

On the other hand, I do believe that Korver should come off the bench so we can play a true SF at the starting five. Sefolosha or Bembry should start, so we had a more balanced starting lineup and then Korver could come off the bench to provide scoring.

Then for the final days of this offseason I still cannot envision what is BDH going to do to close the roster. Yesterday the four first guys off the bench were PFs: Humphries, Scott, Kelly and Muscala. I believe he is offering opportunities to everybody ans he still undecided. Probably Kelly will be the odd man out (although I think he has done a nice job and a good preseason) and then we will wait for the next move until Splitter is back to play. Tavares will be kept, and I believe Muscala should find more pt this season next to Howard, as he is a good passer and does not need to shoot all the time (ala Scott) to offer things to the team. He is more a 4-5 than a 4, and I understand that we need a player to open the court besides Millsap, so Scott should be kept also.

I am intrigued by this roster, too. I have many doubts. It was time for us to find a center and finally we got one. Then I believe that what we got in exchange of Teague is not too much. Competition is good for everybody and now Schröeder will have none whatsoever, so that can be dangerous.

I'm just wondering is Mike Muscala a RFA next off season? If not how much do you guys see him getting paid?

Yes he is. He has started off the year very well. If he keeps it up, he will get paid. I'll say anywhere in the John Henson/Miles Plumlee/Myers Leonard range.
