When it's his turn to address the crowd, Green, victory cap slightly askew, shambles across the podium, snatches the mic and declares that he's excited to be speaking. Golden State PR maestro Raymond Ridder, Green explains, "tried not to let me talk today. He know I'm gonna get controversial."

And then he proceeds to validate most all of Ridder's fears: "With these guys, everything's fun. The only time it's not fun is practice ... film ... games ... bus rides. I'm the only person that gets talked about what shots I take and all those things by Steve Kerr. Like, every time I take a shot, he complains. So that's why, if you see, every time I make a shot, I look at him. Dude complain every time I take a shot."

From his seat on the stage behind Green, Kerr shrugs and loudly counters: "Twenty-four percent!" Which just happens to be Green's 3-point shooting percentage during the final three rounds of the playoffs.

Green chuckles, bounds over, grabs Kerr from his chair and drags him to the podium. There are hypothetically a few drops of tension to be wrung from this moment. "This my guy," Draymond starts, prompting Kerr to pat his chest. "From the start of training camp, he hated me. That's no lie. He probably still hates me. That's no lie. But we going to keep winning these championships -- and that's no lie."

Kerr, who's been gamely laughing at the display, steals the mic. "You know how they start to play music at the Oscars when it starts to go on a little long and security comes and grabs the guy? That may happen here in a few minutes. Thanks, though, Draymond," he finally offers, before fleeing for the safety of his seat.

IT'S FEB. 27 in Oklahoma City, during halftime of a nationally televised game, and Green is losing his holy mind. Inside the visitors locker room, he's hollering "I am not a robot!" at Kerr. When Kerr tells him to sit down, Green screams, "Motherf---er, come sit me down!" When he goes after Kerr, his teammates, including Curry and Thompson, step in to stave off disaster.

Minutes later, in her report following halftime, ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters will recite a portion of Green's explosion: "I am not a robot! I know I can play! You have me messed up right now! If you don't want me to shoot, I won't shoot the rest of the game!"

"I'm standing outside the locker room with the Oklahoma City police, which are always stationed outside of every locker room," Salters will later recall. "They kind of moved me aside, and the officer just kind of stood by the door, with his hand on his weapon like he was trying to determine what he should do. It was clear that something bad was about to happen in this locker room. We've never heard anything like this before."

Can we stop with the "you can't win with Cousins cus he yells at his coach and looks at people meanly" arguments now?

Boogie's problem is that his headcasiness spills out on to the floor - he gets in his own head and self-sabotages - mentally weak. Green on the other-hand seems to be able to channel his anger and aholery into pimp-slapping the other team.

I mean Green's on the court outbursts likely just cost him a championship. It's not like his attitude doesn't cause any issues. I'd rather have Boogie yelling at teammates then my second/third best player getting suspended/ejected. Although Boogie has been very prone to getting ejected as well so he's not much better there.

Not likely, it 100% cost them the championship. You don't react like that even if Gary Payton is talking about your mother. It's the **** finals. Was sickening to see the Lebron haters claim the NBA had it out for him. Nah, it was 100% his fault.

I think something HAD to change in Atlanta. They got Howard for a bargain. Right or wrong, they couldn't bring back Horford and do it all over again. I think everyone won between the two teams and two players.

With the Hack-a-Dwight rule gone, he's in much better position to play well this season. I also like his fit in ATL, he's looked pretty decent for them.

I don't like Draymond's lack of respect for his head coach and authority. I hope GS never wins a title again.

Until he got suspended, missed a finals game and let the Cavs back into the series. Boogie does need to channel his emotions better. Absolutely. He will probably never be great at it but it is definitely something you can work and improve on.

I don't like how he consistently goes after other men's junk. You wanna be a tough guy fine but don't be going around kicking dudes in the nuts. Weak. I'd still take him on the C's.

I mean I didn't think he deserved to be suspended purely off the Lebron thing but I think he should have been suspended in the WCF, and they might not have made the finals then. Still a dumb ass thing to do, especially also the time he tripped Kanter for no reason as well.

Green was suspended, because he was an idiot all season. It wasn't just the Lebron incident. It's on him for getting all those Technical fouls.

I soured on Green this off-season when he was involved in a scuffle with an MSU football player and his gf at a bar. I read a few articles on the situation and it painted Draymond as a Major League A-hole.

Green got suspended for what he did to the other team - that's ultimately not as detrimental to the team as a self-saboteur like DMC.

Celtics fans of all people should recognize the difference. KG pulled this stuff all the time. He got suspended for a playoff game for elbowing Q-Rich. He got suspended for headbutting Howard. Got in a fight with his teammate Wally Z. Made just about every opposing player in the league hate him for saying all sorts of horrible things. Much nicer guy off-the-court, seems to me, but a total animal on it (and in the locker room).

My beef with Cousins is that his frustration doesn't just get him into trouble like Green's, it takes him away from winning basketball. He sulks, pouts, makes stupid decisions, etc. Other than the stat-whoring from Green, I don't think his issues hurt him as much on the court. On the contrary, I think they make him more intense and locked in.

Agreed with Slart.

Green is a more dynamic version of Cousins. A more modern version.

I think people are selling that team short. I think they are going to surprise some people this year, Davis staying healthy of course
