we will see if in fact Dave will keep his word and start Maeda. but the fact that he wasted both Stripling and Wood tonight, makes me to believe he has no plans other than his trust and gut feelings. we now have 3 bullpen arms available. Jansen, Blanton, and Dayton. that is it to back up Maeda unless we go back to dip into Stripling who was destroyed after that error by ****. Wood went two innings, he and Urias are out. Pedro brings no confidence and I wish if we do make it to the WS, we bring back Coleman and drop Pedro. maybe Josh Field will be available. but unless Maeda goes at least 5, assuming Dayton and Blanton can go each 1 innings which I absolutely do not wish to see as Dayton is a a spot reliever than a setup guy, it won't work. that also is with the idea that Jansen will go 6 outs again.
I still think and stand by that Kershaw is our best option. but I also understand how often he had to pitch so far in this post season and the desire of the manager who must consider the next season and thereafter rather than just this post season. we were not supposed to be here outside of our fanbase anyway. but man, we are so close.
2-2 is fine. we have been here before, we just don't remember. in 1981, we lost the first two games against the Yanks and won 4 straight. as I have said before, in 1965, we were down 0-2 then came back to push for game 7 and won it all. even in our very first WS win in 1955, we had to come back from being down 0-2. being tied is still plenty good and this is only NLCS.
hell, I guess what I am saying is that I am not agreeing 100% with the decision of going with Maeda while we wasted our long relievers who can plug away a winning game in crisis for the game 5. but I still support and love, and wish for the best for our boys in blue. the Pantone 294 to be exact and not the ugly, 108 year old junk shade of blue.
ehhhhh f it.
