Thank you.
And for the record, I don't wear panties. Or any underwear, for that matter. But I'll stop sharing since I don't wanna derail this thread ...

Re: All things KCP
We spend an awful lot of time picking apart his game, but what is a realistic ceiling? IF he develops a more consistent offensive game what does that look like? 1st team All-defense? 2nd? 3rd? Offensively does he max out around 18 ppg with improved efficiency? Are we talking Jimmy Butler-lite? At 18 ppg where does that put him terms of SG rankings?
To be clear we are basically talking best case scenario here, as in if he actually becomes the guy his supporters want him to be what does that actually look like.

Jimmy Butler-lite? are you aware that butler had 4.8 assists per game last year, kcp can barely handle the ball.
Sorry for my poor english

Re: All things KCP
no nba team will offer kcp more money than detroit. he will become and overpaid player.
better sg than kcp:
thopmson, butler, harden, derozan, batum, wade, middleton, reddick, booker, oladipo, ellis, mccollum, j.r. smith, hood, fournier, turner.
I even take korver over him, he is a good defender and great shooter. what is this kcp hype? he can't shoot, he can't creat for others. he is good defender but not great. no expert consider him for all defensive team whatsoever. his only offensive game is pull up off the dribble.

Might want to compare both their 3rd years in the league.

Re: All things KCP
in this board people compared stuckey to wade, monroe to duncan, knight to westbrook or whatever. if kcp was drafter by memphis or portland, half of this board even would recognized him. 20M for kcp, are you out of your mind.

Someone will offer him 20 mil per year. Hell Brooklyn is willing to throw that at any young player who can play at all right now.

Re: All things KCP
44% from 3 on 7 attempts per game in the playoffs if memory serves
Yeah it's only 4 games but that came against the now champion Cavs
Throw in the season he shot near 35% from 3
Remember he's a real pro - no off court rubbish, works hard, coachable etc
Add in his defense...
In a league where bench players are looking at $15-18 mil a year why is it so hard to believe that a guy like KCP will get a $20 mil per offer?

I even take korver over him
To break down your list:
Wade - old as dirt, knee issues
Redick - aging
Ellis - aging
Smith - no interest at all
Hood - really?
Fournier - again with this guy?
Turner - $17 mil!
Korver - old as
You named 17...I eliminated 8
So how much does a top 10 SG get paid?

I have forgetten beal, wiggins, eric gordon, evans, matthews. so even your estimation he isn't even (young) top 10. so guestion is invalid. moreover, if there are aging SGs, there are upcoming young ones too, so maybe he isn't even top 15th young SG.

Re: RE: Re: All things KCP
you ever stop to think maybe he's one of them up and coming young Sg? You would've traded jimmy butler after his 3rd year too right? Averaged less points .284 from three. Think about same boards .8 more assist. Funny thing is I think jimmy broke out in the playoffs that year to show his potential. He fulfilled it. Kcp showed his potential in the playoffs last year. Let's see if he can fufill it this year. Yes I know he has shot pretty bad in pre season, but pre season doesn't matter Wednesday doespistontr wrote:you ever think kcp is one of themPharaoh wrote:pistontr wrote:no nba team will offer kcp more money than detroit. he will become and overpaid player.

Crabbr making 19 million? Who averages 10ppg, 1.2 assist, .8 steals, and 2.7 boards? Shot .39% from three? So he can shoot not much else

I have listened that argument everytime. how do you know knight isn't billups, look billups' third year stats, look this guy's stat, he was terrible for his first three seasons too... you can predict a breakout and it rarely happens.
fact: no team offers a trade for him. no expert consider him a top 50 player, he is a barely top 100. enough.

I never liked knight. I wanted Kemba that year.
KCP hasn't been terrible either. Are you challenged? Cause if you want Butler or Crabbe. What were there first three years? You would've wanted to trade them. I hope you're 12-16
If KCP doesn't get better this year he is probably close to a finish product. He COULD come out and average 17-18ppg on good efficiency. Have to wait and see. You don't give up on a player still on his rookie contract who has shown strides in every part of his game. Except 3pt shooting, but that could be from a ton of minutes who knows. This is the year for him to show if he steps up or not.
