That type of pitch is why IMO.
lefties coming up, just doesn't see as much lefty pitchers as they would in the majors. if say, out of 100 right handed pitchers in the rookie leage, say 1 makes it to the majors and stay there, at least 5 to 10 lefties in 100 will make it to the majors. right handed hitters are used to seeing right handed pitchers since little league, but not so for the lefties. then there are guys who can throw filty sliders, like Eddie Guardado or Jesse Orosco who are basically specialists to get the lefties out, kinda like Coleman for us as a righty early this season, but much more effective due to the rarity factor.
