i knew we coun't trust him for 6 outs but only 3. I just didn't know it was the first 3 outs we couldnt trust him with.

no matter what this is gonna be Lester's last inning. we just gotta make sure to have him waste pitch counts and crush him when he makes mistakes. and he will make mistakes in this very bottom of the 6th. if Turner gets on, I would actually be looking for Madden to take Lester out. Ruiz got no hits but hit him very hard twice already. if Joe keeps him in with Turner on base and Ruiz at bat, that might just be the break we need.

If our batters can't come up with much offense, we might as well have started Reddick or Toles in LF with Puig in RF. Have Kendrick field 2B. Just play the best players. Right-handed batters Ruiz and **** have given us bupkis today. I'm still bemoaning Barnes's absence from the roster.

The Cubs are executing their game plan while we're dancing around instead of making things happen.

this should be 3-1. that third pitch was a strike, all within the zone and over the plate. not part of the ball, the whole ball.
