I enjoy CJackson's posts. They are well informed, unusually witty and well written, and unlike a number of people on this board, he has clearly shown the ability to learn from what he reads here and expand his understanding and comments on a range of topics. Of course he calls out bullshyt, but theoretically, you'd want that, right?

BTW, I've always thought of him as a youngish, bright, relatively charming man. But that's just based on what he writes, because I've never met or seen him. Of course, when some posters start trolling or getting into ad hominem attacks, or else start posting unrelated or clearly false, baiting material, a topic can be shut down. Don't blame the guy who calls out these tactics. If a topic gets shut down, it's shut down because of the people who employ those tactics. If a person can't control themselves, that's not so unusual. We saw this last night in the third debate when Donald was unable to control what he said and Hillary continued to calmly say what she wanted. That's a losing tactic.

And remember, Donald himself said "I hate losers."

Clinton tore Trump to pieces at the Al Smith dinner

The crowd was laughing at the zingers, some of which were very funny

So the two of you have given up on trying to debate the facts he presents and your solution is demean him and suggest that he's psychotic? There are plenty of people on this board who enjoy interacting with CJackson and think he adds both substance and levity to it. Can the same be said about you? I'm not so sure.

He did. He was outright "nasty" and did not keep within the tradition of the affair - an affair that Trump's father took him to as a kid.

And, even worse, the guy has absolutely no comedic timing.

4 out of 5 linked to the DNC and 1 clinton researcher and harsh critic. I'll give the DNC benefit of the doubt but the odds have to be astronomical in a 6 week period.

Good work, hombre. I don't have the time nor the patience to argue with the people within this echo chamber, but I will tell you they are very vicious people. They will attack you and wait for a reaction, and then claim that you're being hostile and attempt to ban you, or lock down the thread once they start losing arguments, and are unable to contain their emotions or act civil. Somewhat like the DNC and leftists that believe in Saul Alinsky. Pretty sure they'll attack my response just as viciously. Either way, this echo chamber is irrelevant and has no bearing on the over all election. The election will not be decided in the NY metropolitan area.

Many politicalFacts are always facts until they are debunked by the other side. Then people choose which one to believe based on the pom-poms they are waving. Most in this country are disgusted by the dialogue between these two candidates, yet We see the same **** spewed here by a well known handful of people. That's not dialogue. Aren't you the guy that said that basically anyone who supports Trump is an uneducated buffon and then you went on to insinuate that people who don't have a college education are perhaps not as qualified to understand politics and elections or perhaps life, even though you walked it back a bit, your point was still clear. All that does is basically insult half of our country. isn't that one of trumps fault. I know many blue-collar people throughout my life who have more common sense than the Ivy League people that I know. While many still have degrees many don't, many of the people running into the towers while much of the so called educated were running out of their offices. The people working on the power lines in freezing temperatures while your bitching on the cell phone as to when the lights were coming back on. The plunbers, iron workers, electricians, mechanics and so on, all the partly so called uneducated people that make it possible for you to exist every day. These people are all basically rascist, homophobes, etc etc - you know the drill.

so no, I don't engage in dialogue with ignorant people like that. Possibly 38-40% of the voters in the country will vote for Trump. Based on the comments by some, they are all worthless people, that's fuked up and shows how far this country has sunk.

Actually I was very clear in my post that a college education doesn't reflect someone's worth but that going to college is helpful because it places you in an environment where you are forced to interact with people who have different ideas and life experiences than yourself. Dialogue is the key to working through issues and there is no place in America where dialogue between people of different ideological backgrounds is exchanged more freely than on a college campus. I have absolutely nothing against anyone who is a blue collar worker and how dare you suggest that I do. As far as my commentary on the average Trump supporter? I walk nothing back. People who are fine with a candidate who has shown disrespect bordering on contempt for everyone who is not a white Christian male and aren't smart enough to recognize that such behavior is not befitting anyone who seeks to lead a country as diverse as the United States are in fact tremendously ignorant bordering on stupid. Many of these people do not have experience exchanging dialogue and ideas with people who look different to them and instead have formed a siege mentality attacking everyone who doesn't look and feel like them. That isn't ok, it's disgusting. You can try to vilify me for things I have not said all you want. If you really are naive enough to believe that Donald Trump's base is anything other than people with a very clear and very exclusionary view of America then I really can't help you. People who are behind a candidate who hasn't got a clue about how the law works and are dumb enough to believe that someone like Donald Trump is going to come in and exercise dictator level power in a democracy are not sharp. That is stupid. They are stupid. Statistically they are uneducated. Education could and would have helped them at least be willing to engage in critical thinking rather than blindly following a nutjob who can't and won't deliver on any of the insane promises he's made. I don't feel bad for pointing that out. People who exhibit disgusting behavior deserve to be called out for it. I also don't give a flying f*ck what you think about me or my intentions. I'm more than willing to have a constructive discussion with anyone who wants to. You and your ilk have not shown a williness to do that. Instead you've decided to attack other posters who have humbled you in this thread. I'm honestly not going to waste any more time talking to people like yourself and your cronies who just don't get it.

Excuse me, but will you please refrain in the future from any more comments like this?

Mental breakdowns? Do you believe this is appropriate?

Answer me this. While you have disparaged me repeatedly, have I lashed out back at you? I've merely addressed your continual need for expressing some really petty and grudgeful attitude you seem to possess and asked you to just let it go. A mentally ill person would take your grudgeful behavior and multipy by 10. Like Dean does.

So, yes, I'm not all bad and I'm sure you are not either. So you can drop this and move on. I don't have any reason to wage a vendetta against you, so I would appreciate the same from you.

The guy tries to tell us that we disrespect plumbers, iron workers, mechanics because we are straight shooters who call Trump exactly what he is?

What?

Donald Trump just said he will support the election results only if he wins.

DOES DEAN EVEN HAVE AN OUNCE OF COURAGE TO ADDRESS AN ISSUE FOR ONCE?

WHAT DOES DEAN HAVE TO SAY ABOUT TRUMP NOT SUPPORTING THE ELECTION RESULTS?

Oh I forgot, Dean only attacks posters. They don't actually discuss things.

So let's get this straight: If we call it like it is and rightfully say Trump is a piece of garbage, have we said anyone who votes for him is a piece of garbage?

I DON'T THINK SO

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE SAID ABOUT TRUMP:

He is a fascist
He recruits Nazis and will not denounce David Duke
He openly invokes ties with racists
He is a sexual predator
He is maybe also a pedophile
He's only out for himself
He is not equipped to govern

and there's much more

AND YOU CANNOT REFUTE THIS

So if you cannot handle the rigors of debate, then step off.

Don't point fingers at us for documenting Trump's atrocity of a campaign and his many failings if you are only capable of hurling personal insults.

When have you ever contributed anything to the discussion in a civil manner? NEVER

That people want to vote for this human stink bomb is on them. We accuse Trump of these failings. That those failings may taint those who vote for him is not on us

If you vote for a racist and simultaneously go out of your way to deny he is a racist and not give proof why then maybe you are a racist. At the very least that would make you ignorant.

But we don't need to tell people what they are. All we need to do is tell them what they are voting for.

It is the cowards who duck out of the actual debating and only appear to hurl insults who should look in the mirror

Deal with yourself for once. You don't want to debate? That's your prerogative.

But if you don't have the stones to do verbal battle on an even playing field, then shut your mouth and don't claim people who openly vocalize why they hate Trump also hate blue collar workers. If you want to talk about polarizing nonsense, then that takes the cake. You think you are smart for saying that?

We play more fair than you ever have.

Re: Can Trump wiggle out of this one?

If Trump successfully launches a TV network, then I guess he hoodwinked the entire country. It would end up being one of greatest business ploys in the history of the world. Run for President, get 40% of the populace on his side (the deplorables :D ), tank the election, then launch the network. Could even partner up with Roger Ailes.
