Beverley knee

Post#1 » by texasholdem » Wed Oct 19, 2016 4:58 am

Might require surgery.
This guy has been injured so much I really don't understand how he got the wolverine nickname.

Start Eric Gordon or Corey brewer or KJ mcd?

Gp2 might make team now. Prigioni also hurting. Might need to waive Pablo or have him retire and hire him as an assistant coach. Ennis could see a lot of time.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Could this have been a factor in the Ennis trade?

I hope that they do not rush Beverley back. Let him heal up fully because the team will need him later in the year more than the beginning.

In my opinion, Gordon is the 2nd best offensive player on the roster. He starts.

Eric Gordon will start per Feigen. Makes sense, KJ was only starting to keep Gordon used to his sixth man role but if Bev is missing about a month, which is common with this kind of surgery, and Feigen says he will miss the same time surgery or no surgery, it's not a big concern because it's not like Bev will be back soon

Instead of giving Harden an early raise for no reason of course.

Yeah no point in locking in your best player for at least an extra year and keeping him happy when you can have JEREMY LIN

Why did the thunder extend Russell Westbrook instead of signing Jeremy Lin? Dumb. Everyone's dumb.

Everyone IS dumb! I hope the next cba prevents these contract renegotiations. What's the point of a contract if players can just intimidate franchises into doing this? 16 million wasn't enough to make Harden happy? Even if they didn't use that cap space on lin or crabbe or whoever Maybe the Rockets would have been able to sign dmo by now.

Dmo's stalling has literally nothing to do with the salary cap. The Rockets could give him a five year max right now and I'm not sure they would be in the luxury tax. No one's intimidating anyone, the rockets approached Harden. having Harden under contract longer gives the team certainty that their window is at least another season longer and shows other players he wants to be here and Houston takes care of their guys. Also gives him more value on the trade market if things go south as he wouldn't be expiring

Also the math doesn't work. Harden's extension used about 9 mil of cap space while lin has a cap hit of almost 12mil this year to go with an uncontested starting job which he wouldn't have here and Crabbe got over 17 mil a year so almost double the room we would've had. Giving up 9 million a year for an extra year of Harden is a no Brainer. You aren't getting anyone near as good for that much money even if you add up their three year contribution against the one extra year on Harden's contract.

I never wanted crabbe. I thought you did though which is why I mentioned him.

Rockets are at 97.6m right now and luxury tax is 111m so yes giving dmo max would put us over which les has allowed only once ever.

And yes adding lin would have required shaving a couple mill through trade, not really impossible although I would have signed him ahead of Gordon and Anderson.

Well Dmo obviously isn't getting a max the point is cap space and Dmo have nothing to do with each other. And if you'd rather have lin before either of those guys you're over valuing Lin. I wanted Crabbe but I'd rather have Harden extended even though Crabbe wasn't even a choice with the cap room.

You said dmo could hypothetically get the max so that's why I said that. I know he won't be getting that especially at this point. Dmo and cap space might not be an issue but dmo and luxury tax is one.

We needed a point guard more than a shooting guard or power forward so yes I would have signed lin before them. I'm not saying lin is necessarily the most talented of the the three. Also gOrdon and Anderson are coming off a string of injury plagued seasons.

Interesting. D'Antoni said he could miss around 20 games.

Maybe they are not going to rush him back too soon?

D'Antoni's quote got a little taken out of context. He said the first 20 games are tough and they could use him, not that he expects him to miss 20 games.

But now Feigen is reporting against woj that he will actually miss 4-6 weeks but will be reevaluated in 3. He's having surgery Tuesday. If he misses 4 weeks it will be ten missed games
