Are you trying to say that when the games matter they'll all of a sudden shoot better? I don't think that's the case. I want the Nuggets to win as much as the next guy on here but their poor shooting will make it hard to win games, especially the dreadful 3 point shooting.

Are you saying we do this EVERY game ?? And I don't think THAT'S the case either. Not trying to make excuses for a HORRIBLE shooting performance in preseason, but is it really worth getting upset over and over-blowing it a bit ?? Just sayin'

I'm not upset, just pointing out more often than not they can't shoot, especially from downtown. Through 7 games they're shooting 42% from the field (21st) and 29% (27th) from 3. Just calling a spade a spade, team can't shoot the 3.

Based upon the preseason games, the Jurkic lineup will be starting off the regular season. Nurkic has really stepped up his game, enough so that Malone just can't sit him on the bench. On the flip side, Jokic hasn't lit up the scoreboard but he is learning the nuisances of the PF position. Just a matter of time before he settles in IMO.

Harris should re-enter the starting lineup once he gets healthy, looks like Barton will fill in until then. Barton could be a 18-20ppg scorer IMO, but lacks the D Harris will bring. If anything, other teams will get a look at a promising trade chip.

Barton, Chandler, Murray, Faried and eventually Juancho & Beasley off the bench will give other teams some serious fits but I do wonder about the lack of height on the 2nd unit with only Stokes/Faried at the C

Mudiay/Barton/Gallo/Jokic/Nurkic

Any thoughts to our new lineup ?

Cautiously optimistic:
Murray is already looking better than Mudiay as a PG
Harris vs Barton --- different strokes --- Beasley might be better long term, maybe not
Gallinari & Chandler look like two of our top 3threeplayers, maybe top two
Jokic-Nurkic is looking great and I'm willing to give it time
I'd rank the PFs at the start of the season as Arthur-Faried-Hernangomez with expectations for Hernangomez finishing the year

It's time to see this team in action, I've run out of comments to make based on the way this team looks on paper and pregame box scores.

So was that good for you ?? Blowout win....against an anticipated playoff team......shot over 51% FGM, 94% FTM....BUT

21 TO's....23% 3ptFGM...Murray shooting only 18% from the field

What's your pleasure ???

Preseason is like practice..."not a game, not a game, we talkin about practice"

Sorry if I'm not as memorized by the team on paper as others around here. All the puff pieces about the squad have really led some to glance over the shortfalls this team has, sorry that tend to point them out.

The real season begins on Wednesday Skywalker....and that's when I'll optimistically tune in.

Sorry to poke a little fun at you Powder Blue, I do usually agree with you on many points, every so with the OKC debacle. I look forward to the real season too, I know the preseason is just a warm up and really means very little. The DAL game really didn't show me anything more than DAL can have the same type of game the Nuggs did vs OKC. I did like how Malone seemed to keep his young players focused, a task I see him having to do a lot this season.

Gallo has been playing INCREDIBLE so far, if he can keep this up and remain healthy, we could see the 6th seed as a potential target IMO.

Looks like Gallo & Faried both had perfect shooting nights, and that Beasley & Chandler both had great nights as well.

Yeah Gallo has had a great preseason. From what I've heard, he's really been playing within the flow offense. Far less iso-ball than we're used to seeing, so that's a great sign. Chandler has put up solid numbers too considering he missed all of last season. I'm definitely ready for the season to start. Feels like Nuggets fans have a lot to look forward to.

Well, I've seen several preseasons games: Timberwolves, Jazz, and Trailblazers. Oh yeah, I saw one Nuggets preseason game. I've kinda lost interest in the Nuggets. I think Mudiay turned an ankle but I'm not sure if that was right - it might have been a groin strain. It didn't seem important. The Timberwolves look to be interesting but I still think they are lacking in outside shooting and defense. The Jazz look fairly good but their problem is the same as the Nuggets, they have a lot of players that deserve to play. But the Trailblazers might be the most interesting team in our division. Lillard-McCollum looks like the second best guard pairing in the league. Their bigs hustle and provide enough offense, barely and more than enough defense. They've got two SFs that can/should start and their bench looks improved and balanced. They're starting to make a believer out of me.

No big surprise but it appears Hummel and Wolters have been cut, Stokes becomes our backup C

Well, 4-4 in the preseason, if we do that in the regular season we'll definitely be in playoff contention. We played well against the anticipated playoff teams.
