Suns fans only please. Created a two part poll to gauge offseason media influence.

Poll runs for 3 days.

I created a spreadsheet to help you decide ( or just kill some time ). :)

I have to say that preseason has lowered my expectations by about 6 wins. from 39 to 33 . In my case seems that media got into my "fanhead" pretty well :)

I wanted to say we break even at 41, but decided on 42+ since that one wasn't an option.

*edit*
changed my mind, I'm saying the Suns are gonna go 43-39.

I picked 27+, though I almost picked 24+ since that would cover me all the way from 24 to 82 but of course I knew intent. Revised from earlier pick of 31+. I'm happy we are playing young guys and are not too concerned with wins but I think rebounding and defense are going to be a gargantuan problem.

538 has us at 31-51. Not bad. I think our final win total is going to depend heavily on how we start the season so it could easily be around 35-40 wins.

Hmm. Our defense could be quite good. Top 20 defense. If we can get a top 20 offense, we're probably due to get to the high side of the 30s or into the low 40s. But we're young and I'm not sure how well this team will be able to sustain it. I'll go 36 wins.

Taking into account how young and inexperienced our players are and the inevitable injuries to Bled and Chandler, injuries in general (God save Booker though), trade deadline turmoil and WC being tough and all I expect we'll win 29 games this season. Which is still better than last year so you can call me optimistic ;-)

I'm going with 34 wins but wouldn't be completely shocked if we hit 40.

This is hard.

If we are healthy, I'd he guess we would be a fringe playoff team. So 40ish wins.

If we lose Chandler to injury (probable) I'd see us going into mid 30s, cause I don't think Len is ready to man the C position by himself yet.

If we lose Bledsoe to injury (also likely) we'd be in high 20s territory. Cause Knight at PG is disastrous, and Ullis or Barbosa can't be starters.

If we lose Booker to injury (unlikely, thanks god) we are a bottom dweller at 20-23 wins.

So floor is 21 wins, ceiling is 45. Im gonna go in the middle with 33

I project a Portland-esque season for this squad. Cutting down on turnovers and being more physical on defense should increase our win total. It appears to me that we have more of a game plan than we had going into last season, with players understanding their roles and being put in a position to excel. The vibe is obviously totally different without Tank Commander Morris on the roster. We have better depth than a lot of teams in the west, but we will also rely on Chriss to provide valuable minutes up front, and even with his offensive gifts, we should expect to lose a few points with him on the court. The positive difference in coaching in the preseason has been noticeable, timely TOs and scoring possessions out of TOs and a generally positive vibe. Overall, I think a regression toward the mean on injuries is likely. If that's the case, I expect we'll start slow but come on strong in the middle/end of the season as injuries pile up for our thinner competition.

Moreover, I don't think the west is nearly as strong as it's been in years past. I'm half inclined to think Dallas will finally plummet, with its loss of Felton and Pachulia and the substitution of the woeful Harrison Barnes for Chandler Parsons. I think the Clips are weak, and that San Antonio, Houston, OKC, Memphis and Portland are all vulnerable. I also don't see any pushovers in the west, with the Lakers losing Kobe, Sacramento hiring Joerger, Denver having solid young talent, though New Orleans could once again serve as a turnstile. I see the Timberwolves and the Jazz blowing up, pushing into the middle and top of the western conference standings if all goes well. I think we're primed to be able to win games against each of these teams, aside from perhaps Utah because of their defensive strength. I also don't expect we'll win a game against the Warriors unless those guys have a truly terrible game. Other than those two, I think we can get wins over any of the others, and that should be enough to get us into the 40-win range, IMO.

2 missed Booker freethrows at lakers game upped my prediction by 3 wins :)

For Booker to short 2 free throws in a row, considering his usual form, its probable that it was some leg training issue(somebody mentioned it in game thread also). Hopefully issue was prevalent in other elements of game also, not just only on shots.

So overall preseason impression Booker left, considering aforementioned speculation, was overwhelmingly positive. Hoping he brings a few more wins.

Making assumptions about 2 missed free throws and extrapolating it to the whole season is also extremely cool thing to do 8-)

For an exact number, I'll say 29.
