So anyone watch this stuff?

Some gold from Lord Byron:

This is a really asinine comment from Byron, and only reiterates the front office's decision that firing him was in the best interest of the team. Any coach with that type of ego has no place on a team that's primary focus is developing young players.

Scott's a weird dude... Every time he talks now it's like he's confirming the scuttlebutt about his tenure in LA...

I can't really blame him for the team sucking... In fact there's a lot to be said for the argument that he did exactly what he was supposed to do...
But it's fascinating to me to think that he might actually have thought he was going to be the coach of the future given the circumstances.

Hahahahaha... Ahhhh Byron.

I get it. He spent all his time here teaching and drilling into these guys that HE"S DA MAN. So once he gets fired it proves he's not. I can see how he can feel a little... unfulfilled lol. All that work he put in lol. Poor dude.

Good riddance.

Anyone who didn't watch it, here's the podcast link to the audio.

I don't know, the article was a lot more informative.

Couldn't imagine having to work with or work for someone who never takes responsibility for any failings and always deflects blame. Beyond irritating.

If he has done a great job, Byron wouldn't have had a job.

I thought Byron did an excellent job. Without Byron we wouldn't of got Russell or Ingram right?

Judging the Scott situation comes down to whether or not you believe the concept that Scott was hired to do exactly what happened or not... Namely open the door wide open for a Kobe victory tour on his terms, let the young guys experience that without allowing them an opportunity to over-extend and get hurt... And get us the highest draft pick reasonably possible.

If you believe that was the objective, it's hard to think of the Scott hiring as anything but genius... He was the perfect guy to do that given his history with the Lakers and relationship with the loudest critic, Magic...

Personally, that seems a little too perfect, but there's no way to really discount it either... It's another one of those things that worked out so well for us even though they seemed completely **** at the time.

Give some to Byron. 50%. 80. 90% or more. But it ain't all on him. Some percentage falls on front office and youth of team as well. Not all. But there is a percentage of blame in others besides Byron
