I can't really think of any at the moment on other teams, maybe Pacers before the Teague trade? Definitely Sacramento too now that I think about it. Just offer DMC straight up for RJ.

I can see a bizarre scenario where RJ gets a lot of interest this coming off season. Especially Philly.

what i find is its funny that some GM's literally didn't see this coming. Like they are surprised by these contracts and how good RJ's and guys like BK7 contracts are

I think they saw the cap changes coming, but they didn't really know how to properly judge guys of RJ's caliber, with him being OKC sixth man prior to him putting up decent numbers here. Guys like RJ, BK, and Wall are extremely flexible contracts now. Hell, even DMC's contract is a bargain.

That honestly changes a lot of the future dynamics of this team. That's flexibility if SVG assesses at the end of the season that our core has maxed out its potential and want to start packaging guys for trades or two. With RJ being a league interested asset, then I think that's a given.

Possibility of a mega trade next summer? If guys build up the trade value, I can see us somehow landing a great piece.

i think whats becoming increasingly evident is that "top tier talent" is needed if you really want to compete at the top level and SVG understands that. NBA teams are going to review film and expose our weaknesses and weakest players much like KL destroyed us in the post season. The question SVG needs to answer is are any of the players on our roster going to be "top tier talent"? We have a lot of players with the potential to be and at the end, a entire season of film to review. I can see a mega trade next summer or even at the deadline but it really depends on how our players progress. This is year 3 of SVG's 5 year plan.

I think depending on the progression of Ellenson , we could see a big trade in which we send leur and baynes or other non core players for another player with high upside in the wrong system. I really think Ellenson's going to force himself into soem minutes by the allstar break.

DMC for RJ would be a haul in a sense, but could only be half the movement. This leaves us with two top centers and no PG. If DMC is your objective then you have to move Dre for a lead guard? RJ, healthy, is surely interesting. He's not Westbrook, but he's a pretty good lead guard by last year's stats.

DMC would not happen, SVG has already experienced dealing with heady franchise centers and i think he'd much rather continue to mold dre
