We are keeping Jenkins for the season. No need for Hunter in Phoenix.

Jones Jr. too.

That's cheaper than the $26k per game they were paying Archie. I am sure McD is hoping like crazy Archie gets claimed.

One reason that I'm very high on Hunter is his passing ability for a two. Watch some of his passes to Jordan Mickey. That is some good stuff right there. Now figure how good he could be with Chriss

Yep. My understanding is that if he gets claimed the other team picks up his salary and the Suns are relieved of it both actually and for the cap. If he clears, the Suns have to pay whatever another team does not.

I think I would rather have Jenkins. Isn't he a better shooter than Hunter?

This is interesting. Its all about shooting.

Hard to judge a guy who only averaged 8.8 minutes per game. In the 13 games RJ Hunter played 10+ minutes he shot 39.4% from 3 and 50.8% from the field. But he played 23 games with under 10 minutes where he only really took a shot or 2 and missed.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

The brightside to all this:

How STOKED do you think Jenkins and Jones Jr. are right now? S.T.O.K.E.D.!

These guys are going to run through walls for us in practice. If Watson says "sprints", these guys will run to Avondale and back.

I'm happy for them. Sad we wouldn't make it work with Archie.

It's kinda like dumping a beautiful girl with big tits that can't get her **** together for a skinny flat girl that is sweet and has a great attitude but just don't stop traffic like your ex bitchy girlfriend.

Jenkins, 25, has a $1.05 million salary in his contract for this season but agreed to push back his full-season salary guarantee date to January.

Waiving Goodwin left the Suns with the NBA-maximum 15 players, which includes Jones. The Suns agreed with Jones to a four-year, minimum-salary contract, which starts at a $543,471 rookie salary with about $42,000 of that guaranteed.

I really like those moves. We can cut Jenkins if we need that roster spot in the future.

If Jones develops we have him for 4 years on a cheap contract.

And one that only does one thing well in bed while the other is competent in multiple facet of the love game.

Bledsoe assists: 6
Knight points: 16.5
Bledsoe points: 17.5
Booker points: 20
Warren points: 12.5
Chandler rebounds: 8

Suns wins: 30 (we started at 26.5 a month ago)

I wonder if the over/under line for wins went up because a) bets came in on the over (which is 99% of the reason lines move) or b) because of preseason, which could very well be the case here because the oddsmakers simply decided that's where it should have been in the first place.

Maybe a combo of both, but likely primarily due to the money coming in on the over big time since that's a pretty big move.

Chris Ryan of the ringer has the suns and book fighting for the 8th seed this season..
Ryan: LeBron warned us. We just didn’t know it would happen this fast. Devin Booker started the preseason as the best teenager in the world and ended it as one of the best young players in the league. The Suns were deep, athletic, and fun as hell, in a classically Phoenix sort of way. And while Eric Bledsoe had a bounce-back year, Brandon Knight anchored the bench, and Marquese Chriss put up an impressive rookie campaign, it was Booker, the Splash Little Brother, who became the franchise cornerstone. Routinely capable of going for 30 or more, and always looking to set up his teammates, Booker nearly shot the Suns into the 8-seed.

For sure. Another reason you keep a guy like jones over archie is he will be perfectly content spending the whole year in the dleague. I expect him and ulis to start down there with ulis coming up if they deal knight or injuries hit.

I wonder if bender spend some time in the dleague if hes out of the rotation. Personally id give him some minutes the first couple weeks and if he looks like he can handle it id leave him up but if he looks overwhelmed i have no problem sending him to the dleague because minutes are important to development.

You'd give up Bender and Warren AND a pick along with Knight for 2 years of Cousins? Come on, Frank.

And this is the guy who harps on McD all the time for being a poor GM...oh, Frank...

I mean, Cousins has taken SAC to the playoffs year after year after...oh wait...he hasn't? But that's impossible; Cousins is a superstar!! Let's trade the #4 overall pick, the 14th overall pick from 2 years ago, a pick (which would be mid-teens, at worst) and Knight for a player that hasn't taken his team anywhere...EVEN WITH Gay, Collison, Tyreke Evans, and IT. Who on out roster, other than Booker, is even better than what they have right now? Maybe later, but right now, we have EB, who's injured half the time, and hopefully, Booker? Warren and our rooks are still unknowns, but I certainly wouldn't trade the 4th overall pick for Cousins.
