I'm not sure. But I don't think any of us saw the NFC East with the best combined record in the league coming into this season either.

Pretty salty.

Are you saying I'm being salty? Because I'm a fan of an NFC East team (Eagles). But I can admit that the division has been crap for a while now. It's good to finally see all of the NFC East teams being competitive for once, after all the crap they've (deservedly) gotten over the years.

Not at all. But this little division our teams reside in sure is (salty). It's been a long time since we could start crowing again about being the best damn division in the NFL.

You and I are on the same page even though next Sunday night I'll hate your guts for 3 hours. 8-)

Lots of noise on Twitter right now... about Alshon Jeffery to the Eagles.

Good for all parties involved. Jeffery will play about 2 good games and then he will be injured the remainder of the year. That's also telling me the Eagles need more than what they currently have to compete the rest of the year in the NFC East. Desperation move by the Egals imho.

Pretty desperate to have any kind of receiver the QB can trust to make plays for him when needed. We currently have zero of those on the roster right now.

While it would be nice to get Jeffery, I don't see how we can give up anything too valuable without a long term contract, which from reports can't happen.

You sure don't. Every game I've watched of the Iggles has included lots of drops. Lots. Agholor sucks (I know - I've watched him at USC with pretty much every other receiver not named Steve Smith suck in the NFL) and Ertz is pretty much Gavin Escobar. You got Celek and not much else.

I picked the Iggles this week (don't hate bjj - I'm trying to catch up in the family pickem league). These games are always so damn unpredictable. And I believe this game comes down to the Cowboys running the ball effectively. Because if it turns into a game where we have to throw it, I fear Philly's defense. Big time.

I also think there is chemistry between Dak and Dez in spite of some people thinking otherwise. Saw it during the preseason. But I also get the sense that Dak doesn't give one ess about "getting Dez the ball". He's going to the open receiver. And in a game like this against Schwartz' defense, he won't have time to force anything deep to Dez.

Eagles' receivers need to step up. Wentz has struggled the last few weeks but his receivers haven't helped him out. And Sproles ALWAYS has big games against us.

It's been a long time since I was this "curious" about a Cowboys/Eagles game. I'm looking forward to it. With the possible exceptions of Patriots/Bills and Chargers/Broncos, it should be the best game of the weekend.

Also heard a rumor that the Eagles are trying to trade for Torrey Smith from the Niners.

Egals always play us tough in Dallas. That's why I mentioned the other day in a Cowboy thread about us finally starting to develope a home field advantage, something we haven't had for, I don't know how long now. For some reason I am not as nervous as I usually am when the Egals come to town. There is no way in hell the Egals will make us one dementional like they did to the Vikings. First of all, we are not the Vikings and there is no way in hell, with our O-line, will the Egal defense push us around. Unless we just flat out don't show up for this game, I fully expect to push their pussy-ass asses all over the field. I come out on the first 2 series and throw the ball all over the place and get Dez involved. Their first priority has to be stopping Elliot.

Dak showed that he was a rookie today. Wasn't great by any means, but he came up big when he needed to. Philly defense is really good. Schwartz too things away from Dak that he likes to do. He made him uncomfortable all game long. They didn't really have an answer for Zeke though. And in spite of Dez being rusty and not on the same page with Dak he had a good game. I expect their chemistry to get better as the season goes along. Philly is a good team though and all props to them.
