To be fair, the kings were better than us last year and got a better head coach for their talent.

never understood the barbosa signing.

IMO he has regressed a lot this year...even in the Olympics he played bad basketball with Brazil.

I love him, but he is just old for his style of play.

His style just worked on the warriors because of the threats they had and the offensive scheme Kerr set up. No help to a young team to have an out of control scoring point guard next to another one coming off the bench

I don't think its necessarily because of the Kings, the effort and body language looks terrible for a season opener. Maybe its just nerves and even in the preseason we had terrible starts until Watson ripped into em at halftime. So we will see how we come out

Our defense doesnt have a identity yet.
They change their tones too much between the games trying to adjust for what the refs are seeing (or not)

We started very agressive, even gambling on double teams and then we started to get way softer.

If some of you have League Pass ... during warmups Boogie went over to the other side of the court and was trying to talk to Booker. He was having none of it.

At least Bledsoe looked pretty quick. Other than that I've got nothing.

Yeah, but not quick passing the ball. He had some line passes for Warren in transition and he did not pass.

With 38 points in the first half our worse problem was the defense?

Yeah it was. Players miss shots, so what, but that defense was fundamentally bad.

Although I wouldn't mind if the Suns initiated a half court offense before there was 10 on the shot clock.

In positive news, I found an HD Suns stream on Kodi that isn't constantly buffering. So at least I won't fall asleep before the end of the game from boredom, but depending on how the suns come out from halftime, that may not be a positive.

With Len on the court they made 3 consecutives basket on a simple P&R shooting from mid range. Len is too close to the basket and always late contesting shots. Depressing.

They had a similar incident last season.

Barbosa looks good when the defense is scrambling to defend 2-3 players and him free on the corner or slashing undefended with an open lane.
