The consolation with Simmons is that we can rest assured that our development program is modeled on the Spurs'.

Sean Marks was the GM of the Spurs D-league team when they signed and began to develop Simmons. I'm definitely confident in our development system.

Joe is off to a strong start this season. He'll help the Jazz's post-season hopes immensely

I wouldn't put that on King. Simmons is an indictment on the Nets getting rid of the D-League connection. If we had the Springfield Armor, we would've had a shot at keeping him.

Watching Simmons play is bittersweet (and it's more bitter than sweet lol). I'm happy that he's playing well but every time I see him I think "This dude should've been a Net". With that said, Hollins probably would've derailed his development process and he wouldn't be on the same path to success that he's on now.

In short, I'm definitely rooting for Simmons but boy does it hurt.

Watching Johnathan Simmons is definitely bittersweet. It's pretty cool to see him turning into a productive player. He fell into the perfect situation, too. Being coached by the greatest Coach, a winning organization, etc. Simmons can snuff his nose at Brooklyn for letting him walk, but something tells me he's embracing his opportunity with the Spurs, while thanking the Nets for putting him on somebody's radar (Spurs). Even though Brooklyn let him get away I'm happy for him.

If anyone has a chance, watch the Blazers x Jazz from the 3rd quarter on. Joe Johnson was destroying everyone who attempted to guard him. 11 or 12 straight made baskets.

Gotta wonder where that was last year. Could be just fresh legs. If he's doing that in mid december i'd be stunned.

Typically, Joe is a slow starter and it takes a while for him to get his rhythm in the regular season. So it is surprising to see him produce a performance like that on opening day.

Austin Rivers says he took less money to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Rivers received interest from the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.

Um......

This article is misleading by juxtaposing that Austin Rivers took less and Net was interested in him. It is known that Nets approached Jeremy Lin the first thing in free agency, promised him the starting PG role and Lin s salary is almost the same as Austin's. No way they would offer a backup PG s a higher salary than the starting PG.

Thia article is probably Doc River's PR team at work.

I could see JJ playing better for Utah then he did with us, he doesn't have to guard the best player every night. JJ had to play D on guards and forwards last year and it took a toll on him. Utah is a very good defensive team so they will hide his bad defense so that he can focus on scoring. Might make a run for 6 man of year when Hayward gets back

Agreed. Seriously doubt that he took less money. No proof.

Wow, Harden as the MDA PG had 17 assists!

Well, but still can't beat the Lakers.

Is it cuz of Luke? Or their D is still crap even tho he's saying he's gonna make it a priority? Or cuz of no Beverley?

Willie Reed posted a solid 10pts 6rebs 1sts 1blk performance on good efficiency last night.

Miami got a steal. we could use Reed on this team. it's a shame, it really is.

Harden got 17 assists because he's an All-Star. The Rockets lost because Mike D'Antoni doesn't believe in defense. It was literally the most typical D'Antoni performance ever. Scored a bunch of points, but let the opponents score just as much, leading to a 4th quarter collapse when they literally launched 3s for the last 5 minutes of the game.
