3: Ulis-the only guy who looked like he cared out there. Hope he gets Barbosa's minutes from now on.
2: Bender-cool and calm. made the most of his minutes. Ditto for him and Tucker's minutes.
1: Dudley-did all he can against Cousins, but he played smart and hard throughout the game

-1:Len-passive, weak. His stupid running hooks that just clanks of the rim are infuriating. Perfect for drinking games.
-2:Barbosa-managed to look worse than Knight and thats saying something. Luckily he was only given a couple of minutes to do damage.
-3: Knight-this dude is pure garbage. Cant believe we traded the Laker's pick for him.

+3 for Bender - I know he didn't play much but he changed the flow of the game immediately. I liked the impact he provided.
+2 for Booker - He tried to get aggressive in the 2nd half but whenever we'd get a little momentum the refs would stop it. Had good numbers, needs to take over from the start of the game.
+1 For Chriss - Played aggressive. Had some nice blocks. Wish he could throw the hammer down but he'll get some strength next summer. You can see the potential.

-3 for Knight - Not entirely his fault for the loss but he was a complete non-factor. 1-8, -18 for the game. We had a slight run going with him in, Bender hit some shots, and Knight of course tried to make a play for himself and ended up shooting ourselves in the foot. The offense looks stagnant when he tries to do too much.
- 2 for Len - He could have had a few easy buckets but he doesn't know where to be on the floor at times. Hoping for some adjustments.
- 1 for Tucker - Really this is on the coach. Has Tucker been practicing the past month? Thought he just had surgery, no way is he ready for an actual game. Bender should have eaten Tucker's 5 minutes in the first half. Completely ridiculous he was even in the game.

1: Chriss had some awesome plays in the second half

-3: Bledsoe by far. When he is in the game, the offense is slow, boring, and stagnant. Third year in a row he will lead this team nowhere.
-2: Len could not be a bigger disappointment imo right now.
-1: Barbosa. -15 in only 3 minutes. Enough said.

I think you're confusing Bledsoe and Knight on the court

I gotta say, I think they are both equally bad. Bledsoe has a more consistent shot but has a terrible motor and has no clue how to run an offense. Knight also cannot run a team, is either on fire or cannot hit anything, but has a much better motor. However, neither one knows how to lead and I 100% cannot picture either one of them being on the team if and when the Suns become good again. A major obstacle holding the Suns back is both Bledsoe and Knight. I would love to trade them and let Ulis be the starter whether he is ready or not.

You are right lestgosuns.

Bledsoe has more avenues to score (decent shot, strong finisher at the rim and looks for contact) than Knight but both are equally as bad as setting things up. Bledsoe just doesn't have the passing instincts or the court vision to set things up consistently.

I'd love a proper PG on this team.

Knight just looks like he was a better motor because he's constantly out of control, he's a 2000 Honda Civic that jumps on the gas like he's an Audi R12. Bledsoe isn't a pure point guard, but at least he makes an effort to move the ball around at times and can stay relatively in control when he attacks. Knight just dribbles the air out of the ball for 20 seconds and drives out of control into the lane to throw some off balance contested runner/layup, chuck a contested step back long 2, or dump the ball off to a power forward or Alex Len with 4 seconds to create a shot. I think Knight is the major contributor to our mediocrity at the guard position, and as much as I've been against throwing Ulis into the fire with significant minutes when he's not quite physically ready to compete with grown men, I see no reason at pretending we have a need for a "super sixth man" like Knight (I put this in quotes because he sucks) when we're a bottom tier team and would rather give Ulis 20 minutes a game and send Knight packing for a decent draft pick.

+3 Bledsoe - simply the best Suns player tonight
+2 Ulis - changed the game in the 2 half with his energy and defense
+1 Bender - all around good game from him, finally made some jumpers

-3 Barbosa - the worst
-2 Tucker - would give him -3 too but the format doesn't allow it
-1 Knight - couldn't buy a shot
honorable mention: Booker - padded his stats in garbage time but was invisible when in mattered, committed a lot of stupid fouls, missed all of his threes, was only 2/5 from the FT line and had 4 turnovers

I guess this one doesn't count either batsmasher? Can't give two points to each rookie for the season tally you are doing.

Ya, I'll count it where possible (ie, the Cactus would count) but can't count the Nashty.

Soccer blogs have a 1-10 rating system for each game for each player who played. At the end of the season its averaged. I think it would be fun if we try that :D

Yes, so we can keep track of our season top 3 players by votes season by season compiled game by game...I showed the man batsmasher something I saw on another forum that we should do... viewtopic.php?f=53&t=1481324
and he took the bulls by the horn, built the spreadsheet to track it and everyone will be able to click on the link in our main tracking thread to see where we are to date. Props to the Smasher!

A reminder on the scoring system:

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players.

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

-3 Knight
-2Len
-1 Tucker/TJ

3 - Bender
2 - Chandler
1 - Chriss

No Booker because I expect more of him

-3 - Knight
-2 - Len
-1 - Bledsoe

The only reason either PJ or Barbosa are not on the list is that they both played only few minutes

+3 - Bender: Great initial showing and he didn't look timid out there. Made the right pass when needed, stepped into his shot with no hesitation and was active defensively. Great initial showing.
+2 - Ulis: I wish the rest of the team played with his energy and intensity. Very active defensively and turned the tide a bit.
+1 - Dudley: Did as good a job on defense as you could expect of him. He seemed to be the only one making a pass for awhile there and while his shot wasn't falling he was moving off the line and getting wide open shots. Could've also given this to Bledsoe, Chandler, or Booker but I'll give Dudley the nod tonight.

-3 - Barbosa: What a train wreck. He is still totally out of control and the game completely shifted in the Kings favor the moment he came in.
-2 - Knight: Terrible, terrible game. Knight provides one thing for us and one thing only. Scoring. And when his shot is not falling he is absolute garbage out there.
-1 - Warren: I'm not sure this guy is who we hope he is.

+3: Tyler Ulis: played with great intensity
+2: Bender: Did not rush his shot, the lucky bank 3 get him going
+1: Dudley: Did all his best

-3: Earl Watson: What a fu*king sh*t defensive scheme he implemented. There are a lot of times for both Chandler and Len drop 5 feet away from the pick and roll and let me perimeter players play one against two. And there are a lot of easy buckets because players did not go back and defend after a missed shot. And we still give up 10 offensive rebound when Kings shot 51%.
-2: Knight: He miss all (but one) his shots but he did intend to pass more. But he did disrupt the flow and let Kings make a run.
-1: Barbosa: Was not aware what he has done but the boxscore looks very bad for him. -15 in 3 mins??
