Might as well change it to 5-77 with that attitude. :nonono:

We need to be in the 20-25 win range if we want a good chance at the #1 pick. My one single hope is we don't finish middle of the pack with no playoffs and a late lottery pick...

What we need, is to not jump ship because of 1 damn game. 81 more to go guys. I still believe we make the playoffs.

This is not a playoff team. You can watch a team play and tell. They dont have the right attitude or mentallity.

New players, new system, new coach. If they don't show that they have jelled together after 1 game, the season is lost. :dontknow:

Cmon man! I like you Optimus and think you are a good poster, but with all due respect, you are talking out of your .... lately. I know that you are not a bandwagon fan, so stop acting like one.

It's the Magic board though, the sky is always falling here. No need to wait for this team too build important chemistry with each other, we can't lose any games ever or we suck.

That's the downside to the irrational optimism that precedes it. Our summer transactions were a salve, not a surgery. There is no massive infusion of talent for all that money spent, just a duct tape fix that will hold together some nights. The end of our rebuild was forced before it ever accomplished its purpose. You can manufacture some artificial optimism, but it will invariably crumble into overwrought pessimism when it fails to live up to the hype.

34 or less was my vote. I just don't see the same roster some of you do. In the East alone I think we have the 2nd worst roster in the conference, maybe only in front of Brooklyn. Not a horrible roster, just not very good. Also, from an attitude perspective we don't have any overachievers that would help make up for the difference in talent. There's no Darrell Armstrong's, Bo Outlaw's, Matt Harpring's or Ben Wallace's on this roster. That 99-2000 team won 41 games off sheer determination and grit. This team is probably the exact opposite of that team in terms of attitude. Very soft individuals don't come together to make a tough team. That's on our GM though. Not the players fault...they are who they are.

I'm going to say 37 wins. Good enough to win some games, but more importantly miss getting an elite draft prospect.

It's going to take time for this team to adjust and continue to adjust to find out what works.

No doubt this team will starve for points at times, and with the investment on the defensive side .... hopefully those adjustments build a defensive identity.

I'll be patient and evaluate in due time.

Low end of 35-39; but who knows what other trade deadline deals may be made.

And yet I voted 35-39 wins. So I guess it turns out that I was an optimist?
