Anyone still worried we picked the wrong guy in 2015?

Teague had 20 but ....
And did Pagano coach the final minute of regulation?

The defense is a work in progress, but this team can score! They're going to be fun to watch.

This was a really satisfying game. Myles was amazing. I cannot wait until Friday

Turner a beast! PG13 making some key plays at big moments. Proud of the Mavs for fighting hard, but never felt like a game we deserved to win.

Yup. This offense will score points at will. It seems Bird's vision of a running a faster offense has come to fruition rather quickly. Teague's impact was clearly evident, as well as Young's.

Re: Mavs @ Pacers
Goodness Myles Turner has improved a ton since last season, bringing it on both ends. Larry Bird said he was the best shooter on the team, and he hit some clutch ones last nite.
I especially loved how the offense flowed, not forcing PG13 to take a contested 20-footer at the end of the shot clock. That is already paying dividends from an efficiency standpoint, as he shot 7-14 from the field, connecting on 4 of 5 three-point attempts.
Teague was so-so last nite, but he did get to the line 13 times and connected on 10.
I can't imagine our starters logging that many minutes night in and night out, especially Paul and Monta. Speaking of Ellis, he had himself a great nite as well, 19 points, 7 rebs, 7 assists and 3 steals.
Really looking forward to watching this team gel throughout the year.

Re: Mavs @ Pacers
Overall a solid 1st game. Had a chance to put them away and could not. Glad to see we were able to bounce back and win it after letting it slip away. We've got to get more production out of the 2nd unit. Nate went back to PG and the others earlier than he wanted to I believe because he felt it slipping away. At least I did.
Teague- Struggled a bit. Had me beating the hell out of my couch on the missed layup and unforced turnover in OT. HOWEVER, what he brings to the team was very evident in my eyes. Dallas had a hard time keeping him in front and he really got the O going.
Monta- Looked great IMO. Best he has looked in the Blue and Gold. Slashed well and hit that pullup jumper from 17 that he has been famous for.
PG- He was solid. Saw him get lost on D a couple of times including the game tying 3. Not worried about him.
Thad- Solid night. Nice to see him knock down a 3.
Myles- Wow!! Let's not be crazy message board people and expect this every game, but wow he is impressive.
The bench I will lump into one. Not the best night for them. I was really excited about our 2nd unit this year, but goodness that was bad. I think getting CJ healthy enough to play significant minutes will help. I've been a big GR3 proponent but that was horrendous last night. Hopefully they improve on Friday!

Teague was getting lit up on defense by Barea.

Re: Mavs @ Pacers
Myles Turner was an amazing pick. It's almost not fair to all of us other fans that he can shoot the 3, defend the rim, and bang in the paint.
I said on the Suns forum that I expect him to be a top 5 player in a few years along with KAT and AD.
With Myles and PG, you guys have a really solid core. I'm jealous.

So was Stuckey and anyone else we threw at him. And let's be honest... we all knew we were giving up some defense in the him and GHill trade.

Yeah, the bench wasn't great. Will Aaron Brooks help everyone find their roles once he starts playing? I hope so.

Well we sure hope he's gonna be up there with KAT and AD. Thanks for the kind words, we just want our guys to stay healthy and no more freak injuries like the PG broken leg.
I think we have a nucleus of players to build on and give the top teams a good game.
