Hahaha too funny not to post this

Gerald sounds calm and experienced, sets a good example.

Except when you have a chance to tie the game up and your best player has scored 6 straight and he decides to go all hero ball out there on the floor.

Hendo lost the game for us, not once but twice down the stretch last night.

Yeah.. Henderson is never going to be a decent option during clutch time, at least not as a primary option. Think he played quite decent against OKC, best defensive performance so far including preseason. With Henderson on the court, Rodriguez' deficiencies can be somewhat hided.

Hip bothering him might mean more Hollis and Stauskas.

This guy is getting unfair hate here and I hate it. He's shooting career high 40% from 3's shooting 34-85 this year. He's shooting a respectable 46% overall from the floor. On top of that, he showed that he was a solid defender. Not an elite one, not one of the best but a really acceptable one.

How many close games have we won lately? A lot right. Who's on the floor the last 3-4 minutes? TLC? Nik? No, it's Hendo. He's not our main man, neither defensively or offensively, but he's working in the shadow of other players. Thing is, I'm on the live thread every night we play and EVERY time he misses a shot it's like a big deal but when he's making a great play either defensively or offensively he doesn't get any credit.

And oh yeah, on top of that, he's been a great influence as a leader off the court too. He took TLC under his wing (quoting BB on that) and TLC is getting a lot of credit at the moment (rightly so) so surely Hendo has been a GREAT mentor for him.

This addition has been overall a great one so far. We'll see next year but this year, Hendo at 20 mins by game, I'm really happy with that and I don't want that to change. We need him to keep winning basketball games. Credit to the staff for this great addition this summer and credit to Hendo. Like him a lot :)

PS : i know that the "hendohaters" here are gonna say I'm crazy and everything but oh well

People are mad at him for missing. People get mad because his misses come when he acts like he's Iverson.

That's what he's been doing throught his career lol Gerald's offense always has been iso's and fadeaways. It's not like he became that type of player suddenly this year. When we signed him we knew that he was going to create his own shot at times (and that's why we signed him offensively to have someone who can create shot for himself). He's "only" taking 8 shots a game and less then half of them are iso and tough fadeaways it's not like he's eating the basketball.

January has been our best month by far since couple of years and he averages 24 mins, 7.1 shots a game and 43% from the floor - 43% from threes. His defense has been more then acceptable too.

U guys are making a big deal out of nothing. I can understand that some don't like the type of player he is but you still can be objective he's wearing our jersey night after night after all and deserves credit for what he has done so far

His shot selection has definitely improved lately.

Experienced, both ends guy. I like him off the bench next year.

Agreed. I also think it's good having a NBA vet like Henderson (Who's also a Philly guy) to have around with all of our young talent. Can't have a team of all players under 25.
