YOUR Washington Bullets are beginning a brand new season!

They have a new HC in Scott Brooks but the same bad GM from the past 13 years, back for his 14th. :banghead:

On the brightside, this is a younger Wizards roster with young veterans who are now entering the put up and shut up phase of their careers. Can they get off to a good start? I refuse to put Trey Burke on the bench unit. He's awful and doesn't deserve to play over Sato.

The Hawks have re-tooled. No longer do they have Al Horford (who nearly came to DC), they replaced the Boston-bounded big with Dwight Howard who looks to revitalize his career in Budenholzer's system and the comforts of being back in his hometown.

Let's get this started.

No doubt in my mind this is a W. No more Wittman and his brainless face and sleepover on the bench - no more old guys but I really miss Gooden out there heh - finally healthy starting lineups and most of all it can`t be worse than last season Alright?

I hope Kelly will show Hawks what they lost and Gortat will show up against his nemesis Howard. I don`t have LP so I need to find good stream ASAP

I feel like ATL, even though they've been a playoff team the past few years, has more to prove and more pressure on them in this game.

I don't like ATL at all this year. They'll miss Teague with the drop down to the now-paid Schroder. And I don't think Dwight will buy the team concept as much as Horford did. This was a "Pistons 2003/04" style team, I don't think that will apply so well this season.

Unless Kief can't stop Millsap and Beal sharts the bed guarding Korver, and our bench plays like a pack of rec centre scrubs.... Thats too many 'ifs'. I see our first win.

Did you guys see the contract that Schroder signed? I don't think he's a bad guard or anything but damn, talk about an overpay.

Hawks fans seems to be happy with this deal and with DS overall he is only 22 years old and they say he was at least as much productive as Teague. My eye says other thing.

Big time defensive test right off the bat for the backcourt. Two guys that are good players in Bazemore and Schroeder that Wall and Brad should be able to contain. These are the kinds of sneakily good guys our backcourt would sleep on in the past.

I thought it was 17m per when I originally posted that, turns out its 15m. It's not that bad, but considering what guys like Smith, Fournier, and Rondo got over the summer, it's still an overpay IMO. Schroder hasn't shown any evidence that he can be a max caliber player, which is the primary reason to sign this extension before he hits the open market.

17.7m is incentive based. Otherwise it's 15m

Last season DS per 36 numbers were 19/8. TS was a little low at 51% but keep in mind he hasn't had the chance to play big minutes yet.

One good thing about getting Morris is that he can match up at both ends against a guy like Millsap much better than Porter or any of the other forwards the Wiz had last season can. Gortat should keep his ex-Orlando teammate under control - though he has to stay out of foul trouble. As long as Wall plays smart, I see the Wiz taking this 103 - 97.
