Low and Mourinho too high, imo. If I had to nitpick I would strongly consider Villarreal's Marcelino (even if he did quit), I feel like he's incredibly underrated around here. I know Ranieri's had some failures in the past, but surely his achievement with Leicester deserves some kind of placement?

I'm not familiar with Nagelsmann as I don't followed the BL too closely, so you'll have to pardon my ignorance on that one. I'm curious, what makes him so good in your view? I see he's doing very well with Hoffenheim this year.

I've never seen a manager more overrated and overhyped than Pep. He's had the core of Spanish national team + Messi all in their prime in his first real gig, and Bayern Munich as his 2nd gig, one in which he failed to make the CL final with.

Simeone is No.1 and it's not even close. Klopp and Pochettino are 2nd and 3rd respectively. But most of the managers in this list have something in common; they weren't spoon fed success like Guardiola was. Let's see what he can do with Porto/Sevilla level of resources first.

Ehhhh, I dunno man. I love Poch but there's no way he's a top 3 manager. He needs some trophies under his belt and still has a way to go before he reaches the tactical pinnacle of the likes of Pep, Klopp, Jose, etc. He's without doubt one of the most promising young managers around and belongs somewhere between 10-15, as No_20 has it.

I would personally have the top 3 like this:

3. Ancelotti

Fair enough, but let's see what Pep can do when his back is against the wall and he has a team that's not expected to compete for titles before we start knighting him. All his assignments have been particularly easy. It's like giving the entire project bonus to the plant foreman for a highway crew who had no relations to the field other then producing the material they needed to pave the road.

When he took over Hoffenheim last season they were almost certain to get relegated but since his arrival they've been the 3rd best team in the league when you look at number of points, only behind Bayern and Dortmund. He's only 29 years old. Can definitely see him managing Bayern if he continues this.

Man United who is bitter because Guardiola battered you in two CL finals and later rejected you?

Barca were awful when he took over. I think they finished 21 points behind Madrid and even finished behind Villarreal. He basically did build a new team. That Barcelona team under Rijkaard was finished. He sold some of Rijkaard's best players(Ronaldinho and Deco) brought in Pique and Busquets + Dani Alves and completely changed the style and mentality especially Messi who had a bad diet and was starting to get fat. Guardiola changed all that and without Guardiola there's no way Messi would be as good as he is today.

He did a great job at Bayern. Won all league titles easily and made CL semis all 3 years. Couldnt really do much more in the semis 2 of those 3 years. He was very unlucky with injuries against a Barcelona team that was peaking at that time. Last year they battered Atletico and had Müller scored that penalty they would've probably won that game 4-0 or 5-0. I've never seen Simeone's Atletico so outplayed.

21 trophies in 7 seasons, 6/7 league titles, 7/7 CL semi finals, football from another planet. What more do you really want?

His escape last season sounds very similar to what Pochettino did at Espanyol in 2009.

While Pep certainly underachieved at Bayern, his success at Barcelona was no given and pretending otherwise & rewriting history is rather disingenuous.

Pochettino is nowhere near top 3 yet.

Take an actual look at his career. Three domestic titles and three CL titles in 16 (16!) seasons with Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid. Coached the most expensive team in the division in almost all of those years.
