I wish Blake could have finished off the dunk....... it just slipped out of his hand
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

little off the track here, but man I do miss me some old school NBA. it was a different era with completely different set of rules, but it was filled with great passers who weren't exactly the most fleet of foot.

Magic, Doc, Mark Jackson, Mark Price, Stockton, even to some degree Sam Cassel belongs in that era as a very young man.

then there were some real quick guys, like

Kevin Johnson, Kenny Anderson, Maumoud Abdul Rauf, our own Gary Grant, Spud, Marbury to some degree, Iverson also to some degree as both were just up and coming dudes in the 90s...

do any of you guys remember that old nintendo NBA game from the 80s where Tom Chambers' double pump dunk was indefensible?
ehhhhh f it.

man I hate the title of that game but yeah man that one!

I will never forget that stupid 10 feet jump with that stupid double pump. that was not guardable. my friend from the 9th grade around the block had that game and I used to hang out at his family's apartment all day just for that. used to get looks as it was a small 2 bedroom apartment but my family's 2 bedroom apartment was even smaller and we had no games! my god that was a lifetime ago in North Hollywood way back when Pete WIlson wasn't even the governor yet.

tbh I am not eve sure what it was called, but it was way before the Bulls made the finals against the blazers, so I think Ranma was probably right. I do remember it was the late 80s game.

Always happy to get a win. We weren't perfect but I'll take it. I get 1 more game tomorrow with league pass.

I don't think I played that one. From the 80's, I played Double Dribble and Jordan vs Bird.

It was mostly on the PC before going to the Sega Genesis, I believe. I played it a few times on my friend's home computer but I mostly played Double Dribble on the NES, myself.

thanks for completing this old fart's memories, my friend!

yes it wasn't Nintendo, it was Sega. now I clearly have the visual of my friend's room with that black UFO looking consult in front of his parent's old maybe 13 inch TV in his ( and his younger brother's ) room. he also had Nintendo and used to play that duck hunting game every once in a while. until my family moved into my grandma's house in Granada Hills, my family did not have games. then I got a Nintendo 64 which i eventually traded it in for a cable black box. ( to watch those soft porn back in the day.. what else would a high school teen boy get a black box for?)

back in the day, boys, back in the day.... when life was a bit simpler and video arcade was still the place to be...
ehhhhh f it.

^that kid with Sega way back in the day also grew up to become a OBGYN... he gets to stare at you know what all day. and knowing who and how he was back then, I am not surprised one bit.

This team is winning off defense so far, offense hasn't been that crisp. Redick has barely made any three's, everyone on the team except for Austin and CP are .528 TS% (Blake) or under. It's two games, this all means nothing in the long run, but so far in these two games, it has been defense and rebounding (81% DREB and 27.9% OREB). I like that very much, let's see if they can still do those things while making more shots tonight.

i think once the offense comes along (redick starts hitting 3's) we'll be pretty pleased. that's assuming out defense maintains its current approximate level of play.

might be a good time to bring up how a lot of us were expecting the team to improve on its top 6 offense/defense ratings without blake, and instead of only being able to theorize, we're actually seeing one side being fulfilled.
