Not gunna front. Kyle been playing well. Keep it up Kyle. Your problem has always been consistency. Kyle is also an OK shotblocker but has not shown it. Sometimes he looks 6'8 out there

been saying it since pre-season. Dude is in great shape and I"m pleased by what he's doing out there. Using his girth to carve out space, taking smart shots. Defending. Good word
Fisher and Rambis did him a disservice last season. They would yank him in and out of the lineup without any seeming reason. He could have a good game and the very next Seraphin would get the play time.

This board has a serious tendency to overhype dudes after a few games just like many of you also do opposite and put dudes in the doghouse after a few bad games. But yes he's been productive up to this point.
Who in this thread is overhyping him? He has been productive for us but he has also impressed the fanbases for the other teams on which he has played as well, including Chicago. They weren't very happy giving him up as part of the deal and, this isn't an overstatement, he's better than Jerian Grant.

Timmy had to go through some HARD KNOCKS before he gained their trust. You DO remember him rotting on the pine for most of last season. Dude even admitted to re-dedicating himself this PAST off season and making sure he doesn't have a repeat of his last 2season of suck assery. So, a player who underwhelmed for 3seasons suddenly starts resembling a baller and the Knicks are at fault?
And Grant helped get us the guys we got so that move is a MAJOR WIN.

As long as he stops shooting threes, he's OK. The Knicks have a great passing frontcourt.

He's playing better but those two threes he took in first game no bueno. His D also still needs work. He's often the screwup on rotations and etc. But yes he's playing better so far. I wouldn't necessarily call it consistency problem though.

What fisher did to his confidence was criminal. I like that Jeff is solidifying roles early. If Kyle and Lance play like crap we got Kuz and Willy. We may see Kuz tonight I think.

guys with blinder on. They might as well say they want Lou over him since Amundson is tall too? Ndour, IF ANYONE looks like he belongs cemented to the bench, its Ndour! Everyone pretty much had high hopes for him but, he is, going back to SL, looking awful. Hasn't blocked a shot, can't shoot and really has done NOTHING at all to stand out when he got the pt.

Yes, he was yanked so hard last year it was ridiculous. Some may recall that KOQ was one of the best players in last year's pre-season and as soon as the season started Fisher did his assinine substitutions (in the kabbalah it is known as the pattern without a pattern AKA chaos) and KOQ seemed to say fuq it after that
Now he is fit and is grinding and I like what I see. Dude is a really good passer. Phil liked his potential for a reason and we are finally seeing why. We now have three big men who are legit passing threats in Noah, Willy and KOQ. Now we need to add KP to that list.
KOQ will have to screw up now to lose his place in the rotation. He has earned it thus far

I think some guys have fetishized his athleticism to the extent they project what he should be able to do, not what he has done so far.
He probably has a good attitude and does bring energy, but unless Jeff thinks he fills a specific need then that is what practice players are for.

He has a nice jumper. Wouldn't mind seeing him in some pick n pop situations. Or, maybe he should just take more of them when he's open but, he's so unselfish that he'll usually try to use his passing to get someone else an easy shot. Really liking what he's brought "so far."

No.
Timmy didn't suck his first year. Stop
His second year was that 17 win year. Remember that roster or nah?
Last year he adjusted to a new team, coach(a really good one) and system.
I told y'all to leave Timmy alone. He has 6MOY potential. But nooooooo...

You must have fixated on my mistake when I should have said underwhelmed for 2years. Never was citing the 1st year. But, he sucked year 2, couldn't hit crap and the lineup has NOTHING to do with missing wide open uncontested shot so, stop it. Then he got traded and his ass rode the pine. Wasn't till LATE last season he started showing some promise again but, don't act like he hasn't been ass except for his rookie season. Year 3, he's finally starting to look like a player again but, he HIMSELF said he had to rededicate himself this summer to make sure he wasn't rotting on the pine.

Also wasn't good at anything else. Didn't rebound well for his size, didn't get assists, couldn't defend. Dude was never as good as some make him out to be.

His length and quickness are well used on the defensive end and he has a nice smooth shot when he catches in rhythm on offense. He plays much more under control than Jennings and I think Holiday could be the real key to this bench unit. Jennings will be hot and cold all season, Lance and KO are all inconsistent at best, but if Holiday can show up and give legit minutes providing a little scoring and tough D off the bench every night it could be one of the small things that let's us turn the corner.
Dude, not including KP, O'Quinn is our most improved player so far.
Stop with the O'Quinn negative narrative, the guy is playing very very well.
I like O'Quinn just like I like Lance when they play within themselves and within the system. I wasn't trying to be negative about KO, but he is definitely inconsistent and night in night out you never really know what you are going to get, same with Jennings, same with Lance. Consistency on a nightly basis is something this bench sorely needs and hopefully Holiday can be that guy.

KOQ is playing really well, but he has been inconsistent. He must have been going thru a really tough time last year with his father passing and the inconsistent minutes didn’t help. Maybe with a consistent role he can be a quality productive big man off the bench for us.
I like that its helping to keep Noah fresh.
Lance has to go back to being a 3D guy. Take the open 3’s when its there, else swing the ball. Don’t want him trying to make plays and putting the ball on the floor like he has been trying to do. If he can’t hit 3’s then he wont be worth playing.
