Line shoot poorly, had a late turnover but overall he played with high effort, and still impacted the game beyond just scoring. We had a chance to get a stop and send it to OT. they got a second chance tip in. it happens.

2 point last second loss on the road on a back to back without a starter in the lineup? i see no need to assign fault for that

Completely agree. Lin this game reminded me of some of those early Kidd games. Shot poorly but did everything else.

I like how the Nets are playing. Play hard. They just need to keep the effort consistent for 48 minutes.
They showed great defensive stretch when they tried.

GCP = Scoring Index (SI) + Total Rebounds + Total Assist + Total Steals + Total Blocks - Turnovers - Blocked shots

Among which SI is quite complicated and calculated by
Pre-SI computation = (PointsScored + (FG/FGA - TeamFG/TeamFGA)*PointsScored) (the purpose of which is to adjust for volume shooting)
Final SI computation = preSI + ((PreSI/(TimePlayed))/(TeamTotalPoints/MaxTimePlayedForAPlayer[Usually 48 minutes more if OT])*PreSI (The main purpose is to adjust for time-played)

GCPm - based on feedback from Prokorov to consider factoring in +/- score.

So GCPm = GCP + (+/-Score/5) (The basis being +/- score is contributed by 5 players on court as such each player should only score 20% of the actual +/- score)

I hope I didn't loose anybody along the way - it's just a different way to present the box score - instead of looking at so many different columns and numbers - the intent is to just show a simple score to indicate the level of contribution a player has put forth in comparison to other players on the team.

In general, based on what I had observed over the last season, players scoring above 10 is normal, above 20 is good. Below 10 is considered sub-par.

Wow - I'm impressed. Hopefully you have a program or spreadsheet to help with the calculations.
