Utah frees up 11 mill Yearly in the next three years to keep Hayward, and gets a better BU PG who may allow Hill to walk in June and a stash player
Philly gets outside shooting and a pg
OKC gets a cheap wing.

That is brutal to Philly.

You have Covington and Sergio = Payne, but then Philly sends Payne and Korkmaz to Utah for Mack and Burks? Utah would easily get cut out there. (And OKC is not matching contracts)

I gave Philly an outside shooter and a pg
Utah cap space
and OKC a wing.

I thought long term the 6ers are going PG in Next years draft and they want someone now to play the point. Payne is not available until Jan due to his injury. I think Mack can play some at the 3. And I expect Saric to get some time there when Simmons returns. Utah has other guys to play the point the first 3 months while they wait for Payne.

Subbing McConnell and keeping Sergio would work if Philly doesn't mind the extra 7 mill in salary, but I would not call it Brutal.

I would rather have Covington than Burks. And would rather have Sergio rather than Mack. And then the 1st rounder Korkmaz is thrown in, so it looks really brutal to me.

Or put in the way of cutting Utah out, I would rather have Payne than Mack and Burks before adding in Korkmaz.

He's more a combo forward than a true wing, but Joerger has only played Casspi 9 mpg and with a DNP-CD mixed in. I would check and see if he could be had relatively cheaply. Adds some much needed shooting.

Bird has shown a willingness to take on guys like Kyle Singler in the past. I might at least call and see what I needed to add to turn Singler into CJ Miles.

And finally I'd see if by the deadline the Suns wanted to cash in on the Dudley signing.

Well I rather have Mack than Sergio. I also like the versatility that Burks brings at the 1-2-3. Like everyone else on this board, I think Covington has value, but I think his value is going to be minimized with Saric playing the 3/4 and Luwawu and Grant also in line for min.

I did not place as much value in Payne coming off two different injuries to the same foot this summer. I thought Philly would want a more "sure thing" as a BU to the future PG in Philly.

Aminu's a little better shooter. We have a Harkless already—his name is Andre Roberson.

EDIT: If you don't believe me...

I'm down. Barton's a bit undersized to play SF full time but as a stopgap you could do worse. That would probably be a last resort, though.

Sure, why not (altho Aminus has the far better contract). I would like to know what Portland is planning since they have two mediocre wings in Crabbe and Turner on high-priced contracts.

I'm curious why Thunder fans continue to believe this guy is any answer. He's never been that good of a player and he's not a shooter. I don't know why he has that reputation, but he is not a good shooter.

And it doesn't work because despite all evidence that's he JAG at best, Suns fans still mostly seem to expect a 1st rounder for him.

Oh I don't think that he's 'the answer'. I just think that basically anybody that is able to walk straight is better than 25 minutes of Kyle Singler a night.

I love Farouq, but getting him thinking he is any answer to shooting woes would be foolish. He's continue to improve and that's to his credit, but what makes him interesting as a player is his ability to provide rim protection and rebounding from the 3.

Wilson Chandler is the answer IMO, but IDK any way to get him.

Kevin Martin is still a free agent.

(Ducks and runs for cover.)

If Kevin Martin is the answer we need to stop asking the question.
