Way to go Cho, serious overpay.

This quote from Cody is one of the reason I love him.

I think it's a good deal. I'm also curious where everyone would rank Cody among centers.

I remember watching a "follow the life of a rookie" video with him. His realtor kept taking to large apartments and Cody just wanted to get a tiny place because he didn't know what he was going to do with all that space.

Im thankful for the general board. Without it Id never get to find out that all our players suck and are irrelevant.

The fact that the guy we let go makes more than all of the players we extended shows how wrong that assessment is. Cody and MKG don't focus on putting up stats, they would rather play winning basketball.

The same can't be said for a good amount of 'rising stars' that get a lot more praise than they do. Hell, Cody has put up better or similar stats than Steven Adams but he's considered mediocre while Adams is one of the best defenders in the league. Please.....

Yeah I remember those videos!
He looked kinda lost with all that space around him.

In light of some of the high dollar contracts flying around, this extension looks good.

I also like that it helps remove some uncertainty from the off-season, since you may need to make a decision on Cody first anyway, since RFA's sign before UFA's in the new CBA. So leaving him not extended likely wouldn't provide any major additional flexibility in the off-season.

In addition, I feel this extension is less prone to the pitfalls of the somewhat premature one given Lamb (I think they may have been able to retained Lamb for cheaper after the way he ended the season compared to the hot start at the time of the extension). The Hornets have had a much longer evaluation period of Cody's development and how he fits on the team and performs consistently, unlike the early Lamb extension. So I don't think this extension will lead to the same disappointment.

I like it. With the way he always gets banged up and ends up bleeding for the team, he deserves this money. There's no doubting his heart and effort.

i think most think he is a bottom 10 starter/top 5ish bench center. this deal is low enough that we can still get a starter probably.

Zeller is a solid piece that fits well in Charlotte. He is a workhorse and Charlotte is very fortunate to have so many team oriented players.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs
