He got thoroughly outworked by Dwight against the Hawks. Had he dominated that matchup I think we win going away. And last night he seemed to lack the focus and patience that is required of a professional NBA player.
Hopefully he shows some improvement going forward. I'd really like to see him slow down and take his time and stop looking so anxious to make something happen.
Unfair assessment. He and Rudy are the only ones carrying this team at the moment. Besides Rudy, who else is stepping up on the offensive end? He scored 30 points last night, got called for 6 fouls in the 4th, and he's called a baby for storming off in frustration. So, lets put "a lot" of the loss on him.
I'll agree that attitude-wise he could do better, but beyond that, there's not much more we can ask him to do that he isn't already.
Don't misinterpret what I'm saying. That comment was more about how good of a player he is and how high his expectations should be.
My assessment has nothing to do with the fourth quarter honestly. It was on the first three. Had he buckled down and focused the first three maybe we wouldn't have been in a position to be victimized by the refs.
That's not to say he wasn't impactful in either game. Just that, given the fact that he's suppose to be a franchise player, his expectations are much higher than a regular guy. We need him to dominate the game. If he's losing his match-up (as was the case against Atlanta) we probably wont win that game.
Overall I'd like to see him slow down a bit and take his time. He's rushing things. Now considering that he has been fairly dominant despite that, it goes to show just how special of a talent he is.
