Blame?
What I just posted is a clear-eyed statement of what Melo's priorities are and why he will not consent to any trade unless he is willing to be Lebron's wing man.
Melo punches the clock. He shows up to work. He has his moves. But he lacks any overpowering desire to be a champion and nothing is going to change that.
Melo's priority was to spend the majority of his career in New York City. Winning a ring takes a backseat to that. Melo is a lifestyle player. He wants whatever adulation he can get, but not at the cost of giving up his NYC lifestyle. He always cared more about money and location than winning rings and you darn well know it.
I really wasn't referencing just YOU but you're really off base with what you feel he wants out of his career. I don't pretend I know what goes on in these guys heads and neither should any of you. But whatever I'm not here to change minds. Everything you just said is an opinion because you don't like him as a person or a player and thats your right.
He has the ability to help a team if he is in the right situation. At this point, being Lebron's wing man is really the only successful choice he has left to him. Otherwise, he will fade into obscurity as a Knick because he simply is not that good of a player at this point.
