Anyone who thinks Melo vs. KP is the way to go about things has a screw loose
I've had enough of this foolishness for now

But yea, he's regressing.
You know it's more to it. Now I wouldn't say he's regressing, he's just playing really soft and uninspired basketball. I haven't even seen him go for a putback dunk this year. He was way more active last year.
Without a doubt!
He wasn't even featured in the offense for the first couple months but was still putting up like 12-16 points a game because he was active and found ways to score without any plays being ran for him. He looks more like a rookie this year than he did last year

The Cubs winning gives me hope the Knicks will hopefully win a title within the next 60 years.
Dolan will have to sell the team first, though.

Opinion, I'm not arguing with about thatI do think most of your POV is built off something we won't agree on. You think Melo is a great player. I think he is a great jump shooter, nothing more. In every other way, I consider him an average to inferior player. So instead of defaulting to an assumption that everything said about Melo comes from a place of raw emotion, examine your emotions more than mine or others, because there is nothing wrong with anyone stating what they see.
You don't know what I think Melo is first of all. For one I know he cannot carry us like he's 25 years old. I've always felt like he's best suited as a 1B. Like a James Worthy, who can lead you in scoring while also providing rebounding and passing and playing good enough defense but he can't be your best all around player nor your primary facilitator. In Denver they never added that 2nd scorer he needed after they added Billups and in New York well you've seen all the teammates, coaches and systems. Its not a recipe for success. I don't blame him for the ineptitude of the front office. He's not a perfect player yet the team we've built around him has highlighted his flaws where they are supposed to mask them. Its like putting LeBron on a team with no shooters, he'll look really human and get forced to do too much too often.I see a really underwhelming star who thinks he is great. He's not great in my book. He's really beneficial in spurts and then he becomes an outright detriment to the team. I don't see any greatness in that. You think he is great. And we don't agree. Nothing to get wound up about.
Again stop telling me what I think. I never said he was great, I feel he can be a key piece to a team that wants to contend for a championship. Call it a 1B, a 2nd option or instant offense. Call it whatever you want but he's not going to carry a team to the promise land by himself, no one is. Thats why LeBron joins a Kyrie, Durant joins a Curry, Draymond and Klay. In New York he simply has to do too much for us to compete. Guys complain as if he's the reason we're down 9 but in reality he's the reason we're not down 29.
You guys can judge him as a player but my issue is we're always blind to the bigger issues. We lost this game against the Rockets and all I see is Melo bashing, its bigger than Melo, bigger than all the players. Y'all don't see that tho.
why do you care about Melo then?
He's paid to be the big fish. If he can't carry a team, at least he should make everyone around him better. Since he can't do either then he gets the lion's share of the criticism.
That's what he signed up for. You have some peculiar nothing that a guy whom at the time we made the highest paid player in the game, whom we gave a frigging NTC to and who wants to play on Broadway should somehow should be shielded from shouldering a greater portion of the criticisms of the players.
He has been in the league 13 years and a Knick for six. Your need to protect him is what is strange. And that has generated an even stranger compulsion to find someone else to criticize because you don't like Melo being pounded on by the fans.
KP has 1 year and 4 games under his belt. He is not anywhere close to being paid the big bucks to lead a team. That you are so desperate to defend Melo by always wanting to divert attention to KP is what is peculiar.
Melo is the boss hog. If he can't handle the criticism then he should GTFO of NYC.
Why do I care? Orange and blue for life man. This is my team. You where these colors I support you through thick and thin.
I could care less how much you're paid, how long you've been in the league. Talent is talent.
Criticism is one thing, that's cool never argued that but blaming him for everything that is wrong with this team is a bit much. The key to getting the most out of players is putting them in a position to be successful. Ask yourself this. Has our team been put in the best position to succeed so far this season? And if the answer is no ask yourself why. And if the answer to that is its Melo's fault then you have a serious problem
Like I said its bigger than him. It's always been bigger than him.

Tonight he clearly checked out after watching Rose and Melo ballhog all night.
Real stars shine no matter what. KP is garbage.
You're a part of that study...
People don't want KP to get trashed? Then stop trashing the better player in Melo. It's that damn simple. Don't throw rocks when KP is living in a glass house with his trash play.

from Begley...Jeff is officially starting to look suspect
Courtney Lee says the Knicks should "practice against more game-like situations" rather than practicing against the triangle offense. "We run the triangle, we practice against it a lot. I think we need to practice against pick and rolls, practice against other looks and whatnot and get comfortable with that because that's what other teams are running."

That's the thing, he can do a lot on the court. He's just coasting for whatever reason. Idk if he's uncomfortable or fatigued or what. Like he'll show flashed during the game but I'm not seeing what I would hope out of a supposed "Franchise Player"
