Happy for Bled but I hope that's not a play repeated at the end of close games lol.

It beats the hell out of the oft-seen last second play where he drives, stops, jumps, throws ball to other team. I'm not in love with it but I can live with the dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, step back, throw up prayer play until Ulis, Booker, Bender, Chriss and Warren come fully to age. I think as long as Eric is our starting PG, that's probably the best we can hope for. And, give him his due, he does seem to rise to the occasion as far as his shooting goes.

-Bledsoe deserves this!
-Hopefully this gives us some confidence!
-Bledose and Chandler playing very well for us! If either of them break, we are F-ed!!!!!!
-TJ Warren = The next KD! Dude is ballin! I expect him to make it everytime he shoots!
-Len looked good tonight. Banged inside and finished hard. Yes, Portland is soft inside, but I hope he keeps it up. We need him to turn the corner.

Oh yeah...totally **** fitting that jackass Brandon Knight and PJ Tucker totally blew the last play on defense and gave up an uncontested layup.

The crazy thing....Knight finished at +7 and TJ finished at -2???????? How is that possible?

Knight was 6-17 and had 1 turnover. Are you kidding me???? 1 Turnover???? I counted at least 3! Maybe? Jesus, it just seemed like so much more!

Can't wait to move him and play Ulis.

One more thing:

Road games are NEVER easy for a young team, but with the NOP and LAL up next, we have a GREAT chance to roll into Portland 3-4 and have a chance to go .500 in a rematch.

They have shooters but they are weak on the inside! Imagine if Booker plays better???? We can beat them again and get to .500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what happens when you hit your FT's and crash the boards. :)

Just got done watching the game. I am very happy for Eric Bledsoe. If you read his lips when he hit the layup after the steal, "I want it, i fu**ing want it."

His defense is very under appreciated. I hope this game builds his confidence. I am interested to see how we look when Booker gets out his slump.

TJ Warren is good man.

Yeah, I am interested to see how we look when Booker, Bledsoe and Knight all get out of their slumps. If that happens and Len finds a way to build on tonight's performance, we're all of a sudden a very competitive team. And yeah, TJ Warren is good, very good. I think Booker has a little more up-side but Warren is the better player right now.

McCollum disrespecting Bledsoe's 3pt shooting ability?

After a time out, Bledsoe took the inbound and dribbled to the side against Bledsoe before rising up for the winner with no time left.

I’ll take that shot every day of the week,” McCollum said of Bledsoe’s game-winning opportunity.

Bledsoe had made three of 15 shots in the game before making four of his final five shots to finish with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

“I had to be extra aggressive,” Bledsoe said. “This team is going to go as far as I take them and I’ve got to do that. I have to lead by example and I did that tonight.”

I don't think so. It was a well-defended shot.

This team (and Bledsoe specifically) always seems to get up for Portland. It feels like Bledsoe has something personal against Lillard. Also, although not a perfect game by any stretch for Bledsoe, he is definitely our most clutch player. I was at home hoping he would take the final shot even though he'd been off pretty much all night and he came through not only once but twice (3 if you count the steal).

Good win and glad that a close fought game finally went our way for once. Lots to like about this game and I'm excited to start playing some softer competition.

Also, very happy to see an adjustment made so that we aren't fouling as much. Really helps our transition offense and our defense is decent enough where I don't think we should be bailing out the other team with fouls. If they make the shot, I can live with that.

Knight's entire 'game' is a slump...that's who he is. He was bad all year last year, and it just rolled on into this season. Nothing's changed. But the other two?? Yeah, I REALLY hope it's just a 'slump' and 'getting their game settled' because it's early in the season.

And TJ?? Yeah, this is what I thought would happen for him this season; I'm glad it's coming to fruition. And to think there were some posters here that were throwing TJ in 'willy-nilly' into trade ideas all off-season because he was 'JAG'. I really hope his play continues to stay on this level. I mean, he's a 22/6 SF over 5 games; that's insane!! This is why I truly believed he should be counted upon to one of the pieces of a future 'Big 3'. I think we already have our 'Big 3', it's just a matter of them developing a season or two more--Booker, Warren, (Insert name here, be it Bender or Chriss; one of those two are going to be a star.)

Just think...and I'm not exaggerating here. I think this is entirely feasible (pts/TRB/Asst):

Bledsoe - 16/4/5
Booker - 19/3/4
Warren - 20/6/3
Chriss - 14/9/1.5
Bender - 12/10/4

With Warren playing as he is, and if it continues, we need to play Bender at the 5, or te 4 and Chriss at the 5, but I think Bender's height, athleticism, and rim-protecting prowess are ideally suited to play the 5. Yeah, he'll get bullied by bigger Centers, but who cares with a starting 5 of Bled, Book, Buckets, (need a 'B' nickname for Chriss), and Bender scoring 80 pts a game...BOOM!

OK, I'll come back down to reality now...

Very happy with the win yesterday, but evaluating the game, we have many defensive problems (especially coverage). Our players mark the ball and no defensive exchanges. We won the game with excitement and individual quality of some players on the defensive part (Bledsoe and Warren). I hope that over the defensive part games better and be more organized. Our offensive part is not bad, but some individual players need to improve (Booker, Knight and Bledsoe)
