Re: Your one rotation change
Melo and DRose do not compliment each other in any way shape or form.
Split those two up. DRose and the other 3 make sense. Melo and the other 3 make sense.
WE DO NOT MAKE SENSE AS A 5
And that's all that matters

1) Just solved your bench problem
2) Puts Melo at the 4, where he should be
3) Hoilday, like Lee, doesn't need the ball to be effective, and can guard wings better.
4) KP off the bench = More running/scoring with Jennings
5) KP gets more touches . . .
This.
G: D. Rose / B. Jennings
G: C. Lee
F: J. Holiday / M. Kuzminskas
F: C. Anthony / L. Thomas
C: J. Noah / K. Porzingis
No more 10-man rotation. Keeping it at 9 would force Hornacek to keep at least one starter on the floor at all times.

M Kuz needs to be playing more. I have no idea why Lance is starting over him. I wonder if it could be a language barrier issue, but I can't believe it is.

However, in post game threads, there have been some good discussions on what moves should be made to the rotation (moving starter to bench, bench to starter, bench to reserve, etc) and I think it can be made into a legitimate discussion.
I'll start this off with... surprise,surprise...Rose to the bench. (Below is what I posted in the PG thread.)I'll float the idea of moving Rose to the bench because (a) he looks for his shot WAY more than pass (b) he's been taking some bad shots and has bad efficiency (c) moving him to the bench will give us an aggressive scoring guard (albeit, on low efficiency) off the bench (d) Jennings has been a better point guard than Rose thus far and has been far more willing to pass (and is seeing the court better, but this is not surprising at all IMO) (e) moving Jennings into Rose's role in the starting lineup will allow KP to take on a larger role helping us not only now, but going forward as well.
Move Rose to bench.
Hopefully this doesn't go to **** too quickly...and remember, attack what is said not who is saying it.

I would be happy with both of these ideas. Either that, or Rose needs to man up and take more of a facilitator role. (I honestly think he is playing like he has something to prove, and trying to score too much. Play to win, and if we want to win... need rose to facilitate to his teammates better.)
I think the better of the two choices would to bring KP off the bench. We don't really have a true center coming off the bench, and would allow us to create some pretty big mismatches with KP at the 5 against the opposing teams backup. Jennings and KP seem to work really well together, where as Rose completely looks off him a lot of the time. Rose has missed KP wide open more times then I can count and its only been 4 games...Rose kind of looks like he is tunneling where as Jennings is playing more smoothly and looking to make plays for his teammates.
Either suggestion could work... Rose to the bench allows him to dominate the ball more and gives our bench a little more of an offensive punch, But I think KP can do the same thing while at the same time giving us more of a true center off the bench. (Also KP needs to work a little harder on defense and on the boards... I need that Double Double Machine KP back)
Also... I said it many times last season and ill say this again... Lance Thomas is nothing more then an end of the bench hustle player. He doesn't do anything well... Just below average - average at everything. Last season he would at least play hard and try to lock up somebody on defense.. This year.. kinda looks like he is just floating around both sides of the ball and still making the same bonehead plays on offense while providing nothing on defense or on the glass.
Lance Thomas needs to be benched for either Kuz or Ndour. Ndour brings the same hustle and better defense... But is a better athlete and less akward on offense. Kuz can spread the floor and showed some good instincts on offense. Not a terrible defender either.
Starting lineup needs a change....Or Rose needs to play more passive... And Lance Thomas needs to go away. Even if his shot starts to fall.. He is still not a good player... Doesn't rebound.. Doesn't block shots... Doesn't create turnovers... cant pass.. Cant dribble... Cant finish in traffic...He literally was a spot shooter and a man to man defender last season and those were his ONLY and I mean.. ONLY 2 things he did at an average- slightly above average level...I don't want to hear about his 3p% because he barely shot/made any.
Horny needs to juggle some **** around before we dig this hole any deeper. The talent is there on the roster... just needs to manage it better and play the right players. Our bench is weak scoring.. So play Kuz a little bit more... Need a defender.. Bring in Ndour... Need 0 productivity , balls dribbled off the foot, or some foot on the line action... Bring in Lance Bumass Thomas.
Lets not wait too long to do the right thing.

i didn't have a chance to watch the houston game, but i'm reading this article
http://nypost.com/2016/11/02/porzingis-looks-lost-knicks-get-booed-in-demoralizing-wreck/
based on what i have seen in games, and this article, it sounds like we need a defensive mentality brought it. i know that's why noah was purchased, but he's been less than stellar, even inside the locker room. it sounds like the knicks need a guy like an artest, KG, dahntay jones, etc. who can come in and set the defensive tone. i know lee and holiday are supposed to be good on defense, but they're not defensive ****. knicks need a defensive ****.

Re: Your one rotation change
I loved getting Rose but trading lopez bit us in the ass because Lopez helped free up Porzingis offensively. Lopez was actually an offensive threat from 12 feet away. Noah is no offensive threat which puts more pressure to Porzingis. Teams just have to defend Porzingis and deny possessionss by double teaming .Thats why Rose Lee Melo are the only ones scoring in the starting lineup .
I suggest starting Willy since he has a simular offensive game that of Lopez..

Melo plays his own game -- it doesn't jive with anyone -- let him muck up the bench guys NOT the starters.
With the way they are looking I doubt that Hornacek and/or Jackson would will that eventual power struggle that should suck whatever life there may be left in this team completely out.
