The Warriors GM is no dummy. Klay isn't untouchable but he is untouchable with a Noel trade. If you want Klay then it starts with Embiid and our 17 pick. Embiid is an injury worry so they would need more to hedge their bet so we would have to give up our pick just for them to not hang up the phone. The closest we could get to Noel for Klay is to include our pick and the Lakers pick. That may make them think but they still say no IMO.
Lmao. Our pick alone is damn near worth Klay. Embiid is way off the table, way off, so is Simmons. We're not trading for KD here. As far as I'm concerned they can have Okafor, Noel, Covington, and the Lakers first or the Kings first. They get not 1 but 2 big men the fill their hole, and a wing that's on a cheap deal. They can then resign Durant because they would be low enough under to do so, then go over the cap and sign curry and Noel.
No it's not. Klay is a top 15 player. There's no guarantee anyone from 17 draft will be a top 15 player although there are great prospects. And the Warriors are in win now mode. Drafting a great rookie still take some time. And the fact you are so quick to just throw away Okafor and Noel and Covington for Klay means you know Klay isn't that much better than all of them. The Warriors GM knows this. Do you really think he would want to trade for any of those players to give up Klay? Come on. They are trying to win a championship not build. They are in championship or bust mode. Just stop with the Klay trade scenarios. It's not happening. No chance.
And they have no use for Okafor. They wouldn't want him anyway. Come on.
How did you come to this conclusion?
