Exactly.

Is there *anything* in Ted's or Ernie's past that would indicate to you that your dream is realistic? Anything?

We're gonna mortgage more of our future for a middling acquisition that should help us limp to another 41-41 record.

Yay Ernie!

We won't make it to 41-41. Even with a trade deadline panic trade.

Unless you all are talking 2018.

Yes, we can. We can't trade consecutive future picks. There is nothing stopping us from trading our 2017 1st round pick because we still have our 2018 pick available. The fact that we already traded our 2016 pick is irrelevant because that's in the past.

We could not trade our 2017 + 2018 picks, or our 2018 + 2019 picks, for example.

Damn it. F%#} E.G.

2017 is a good draft at the top too

Suggestion: Go ahead and anticipate the worst. Expect this GM to do what he always does. Panic trade of a first round pick in hopes of grabbing some other team's disgruntled veteran.

Count on having no first round pick.

Count on the Wizards grasping at mediocrity and focusing all of their energy on a short-term goal, like making the playoffs.

That way you can be pleasantly surprised if they don't trade away the pick.

I think Rudy Gay is a fifty-fifty shot at who they deal for.

I'm hoping to detach more and more.

I care too much, still.

I'm taking the under, even after the knee jerk deal that's bound to happen.

Jason Smith was really good for us in Orlando last year and i was actually very disappointed to see him go. At least he was still very good for us.

Def Efficiency is last place with -36.6. The next worst team is Orlando at -18.2.
Offensive efficiency is also last place at 17.2, and the next worst is Minn at 28.4.
At this point, we are, by far, the worst bench, probably in history. Seriously...think about that.

Playing Sato more and Getting mahimi back soon ish should help a lot. But our bench is still thin, Nicholson can show up sometimes and Kelly needs to step it up for sure.

I'd prefer if he was just our main backup PG for now. We need a replacement for Thornton who can shoot the ball and score. Its not Trey Burke and I dont like the lineup of Wall/Sato at 1 and 2. Not that we've really seen it much, but Sato seems a little more pass first than Wall.

We need a miracle D-League/FA signing.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Sato Wall would be good on D. I think Sato is just trying to find his shooting touch in the NBA he had it in europe, once he get's that worked out watch out. He also played primary 2 in europe.
