He won't last the season going this hard carrying the team IMO.

Rudy Gay?

Other than BKn, that could be someone to help with the offensive load. The team is great but there's still going to be moments where Westbrook will overdo it cuz no one else is stepping up.

The Nuggets just beat the Celtics today and they are only 3-3 now. Maybe their pick is not so bad after all. :D

Nah.... a dedicated thread to cheer the dismay of Celtics will invite the other team's fans trolling here. And also give them the enjoyment of reading our frustration in the thread every time they win. It's like us going to the Celtics board after every Nets win to enjoy their salty posts in their dedicated Nets draft thread. And they most definitely will have more wins than us this season. Why give them the extra platform to troll on us? I rather go their board when we win than they coming here.

I will definitely make one if nobody has made one, I just want to wait some games to make sure that the pick won't be bottom 5. They don't look as good as they look on paper, they got spanked by the Nuggets

The Celtics defense has been just as chitty as the Knicks so far- I think they're ranked 28th rn. Not sure what's up with them

Also, Toronto is rumored to be in talks with Philadelphia to trade Cory Joseph for Nerleans Noel. Seems like a win win for both- especially Philly with a legitimate backup PG option. If anything, this could backfire big time on Toronto if Noel's knees are glass. 6th man players like Joseph become critical in playoff games.

Cory Joseph probably would be a starter for the Sixers...

It's totally possible that they were demoralized by the comeback in the first game!

http://www.espn.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4724349/whats-wrong-with-the-boston-celtics-defense

none of those injuries explains just how atrocious Boston's defense has been. The Celtics consistently have looked out of place and out of sync. And that doesn't make sense when you consider the same core is in place for a team that made defense its calling card much of last season. What's more, Boston's defense was excellent in the preseason (defensive rating of 95) and has shown flashes of its potential this season.

So what in the world is going on?

8-)

Worse than that.

Read on Twitter

I thought the Celtics were perennial condendahsz? Lol. The Celtics are no better than that 49 win team we had in 2012 with Deron. A good team but not great or consistent. No true superstar but plenty of solid role players and 3rd options and sixth men.

Maybe some humble pie will get those fans to STFU. They're no different to Atlanta, Indiana, Chicago or any second tier team. Al Horford has no Paul Millsap in Boston to help him defend and rebound. When he's out the lineup, Boston is easy meat.

Maybe. But considering the luxury tax, that would be a lot of money.

Owner's rich for sure.

you can still match and trade him a year later for cap space and picks. thats better then losing him for nothing.

common practice is to ALWAYS match on a player unless you planned to waive him anyhow

It might be the common practice but when some kinda poison pill is involved, like the trade kicker, advance payment, player option and overpaying, it's a bit different.

Owner is uncommonly rich tho.
