Why would you put your money on the Wiz period, esp. coming off a back-to-back.

Really? We have a ton of back to backs... is he going to sit out each of them?

We have no chance of winning a game without Wall.

Good. His knees don't need that this early in the year

Cause Magic suxx more than Wizards. I watch their all games this season only AG is lookin good, Biz is solid and EP often attacking the hoop the rest is dreadful especially their "stars" Ibaka and Fournier. Defence is suspected. With Wall our streak would be still on.

IDK if Brad was tired late in the game tonight or he just felt the pressure when he missed a few late ones. And our execution in late-game is situations while we are trying to manage the clock is putrid and has been for years. That's one of the things Brooks has to figure out, where Randy never could.

Beal's legs were tired late in the fourth. He played almost the entire second half. The only rest he got was that short break in the fourth. Brooks took a gamble in playing Beal that much and he did start hanging jumpers short at the end, but it worked. That stretch where Beal and Otto played with the second unit starting late in the third quarter is what got Beal going. I think he scored 20 points from that point on.

Scott pulled the right levers tonight. His line up and game management were very good. Going into the game he talked about how he wanted to play Keef with the second unit to try and steady them, and he did in the first and second quarter--to great effect. But Brooks decided to make an adjustment in the second half in order to have Keef match up directly with Millsap because he saw that Keef had gotten in his head. Brooks moved Otto to the four instead and kept Keef with the starters it worked well.

Jason Smith was comically bad tonight. Mahinmi can't get back soon enough. Once he does, Scott's rotations should start to solidify.

So Friday night I took advantage of my proximty to the print media platform
and spoke briefly with Candace Buckner, the WaPo Wiz beast writer this year.
I congratulated her on scoring that gig and I first she thought I was being facetious
but I assured her I was sincere.

Little did I know in her game coverage the next day would be the following

The Washington Wizards led the Atlanta Hawks, the team that had started this season-opening slump, and the faithful — a late-arriving crowd that left many lower-bowl sections nearly empty before tip-off — were eager to see the Wizards’ first win.

“John,” a fan screamed. “Put your foot on their throat!”

3 guesses who that screaming fan was and the first 2 don't count.

FWIW, I would have preferred she described it as a yell rather than a scream.

Seems like they could have used this advice Saturday night.

great idea

last year Jorge (?) appeared to some to be doing his utmost to ignore the anti-GMEG sign(s) I had.
Maybe Candace will do better in that regard.
