That's exactly how he SHOULD feel, and exactly why players don't get to make those decisions.

The medical staff has handled him perfectly and should just be trusted to make the decisions as they see fit.

His long term health is the most important thing.

What qualifies the Sixers medical staff to determine when a healthy young player recovered from injury is to sit out and play? What known body of knowledge is it based upon? They certainly do not release any details.

Jesus, you just hate everything about this team.

What qualifies the medical people to make medical decisions? It's what they DO and they are way closer to the situation than anyone else.

Trust them.

He's the reason I roll out of bed (and get 20 and 10).
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Joel said in his practice interview yesterday that they had two (important )players out Bayless and Ben....

No mention of Nerlens :-?

He's around them everyday and sees them rehabbing, Noel is in Alabama. Doubt he meant anything by it.

Lol I don't really side with selfish in anything but I too think it's silly to sit embiid tonight as well. If he's healthy and it's not a back 2 back what's the problem?

He could have played against the pacers wed and Fri and had off sat of the back 2 back when the Hawks beat the breaks off us anyway. Last night's game was definitely winnable while the pacers are sleep walking. Now we will get the fired up version Friday night. They don't need to tank this hard the record will be the worst anyway. Play to win some games.

I'm expecting that Joel won't play against the Hawks either. Not mad though, he's already playing more minutes per game than I would have dreamt of prior to this season. If the medical staff thinks it's wise to undergo some specific training to work on lower body strength for example then who are we to complain? Look at the bigger picture, I'd rather go 0-30 again than having Embiid injured.

I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that their goal is to play Embiid in the b2b on november 16th and 17.
I was looking at the schedule and on november 16th we're going to play AT HOME a potentially winnable game vs the Wiz and the day after we're on the road in Minni.

If I'm Colangelo I want to play all my chances to win maybe the first game vs WAS. On the other hand, the game @Minni is on TNT, so I suspect a lot of pressure by the media to see Embiid vs Towns.

So they're simply managing Embiid's workload.
Of course I could be dead wrong. We'll see.

The point is that they have made that determination, and who are any of us to say that they are wrong given that we don't have the expertise OR the data? They are trying to manage the load on his foot, and have a plan for it. Let them do what they do.

Do we drive by construction guys digging a ditch and argue that they don't have a reason to do it?

If they are digging the ditch off of the jobsite ill question it.

LOL. I'd just keep driving and assume that they are doing it for a reason.

Back to Embiid and the trainers. If they sat down and showed us the data, and their thinking I'm sure that we would all agree that it makes sense. The flip side is that they are doing it out of incompetence(we aren't qualified to diagnose that) or malice(ridiculous on its face).

Embiid has an incredible amount of skill and athleticism. Franchise player for sure. Embiid/Simmons plus up coming draft and mid season trade will mold this team into a contender.
Long Live Sam Hinkie :D
