It's that time of the year again! I love these ads.

Enjoy!

Hell, yes-- these are always gold. And for those not fortunate enough to live in one of the Texas towns that has them, HEB is indeed the greatest grocery store of all time.

I was told this a couple times and didn't really believe it for whatever reason. But on one of my past visits I was close by an HEB and thought I'd check it out for **** and giggles and is indeed the greatest grocery store of all time.

Also grocery stores in general are amazing in the US. The crap we have in Canada doesn't even compare.

Nice! I'm glad you got to check it out. It's a huge part of Texan modern culture, and the company just has the right approach, doing everything it can to make shopping an 'experience'. One of the things I admire is that it treats the employees super-good; they even get company stock options. That trickles down and the employees are generally really positive to deal with.

I've been to Canada a few times, though, and I always had good experiences with the supermarkets there. Actually, everything in Canada was way cool for me.

Calling them crap probably isn't fair but when you compare our big chains to likes of HEB, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and so.
