The amount of overreactions after beating Minny at home 7 games in the season is awesome. I will say this though Kenny Atkinson is a good coach.

Well... serves us right for being so overconfident and cocky. I'll be happy if the pick is in top 10 at least.

No need to lose nerves over 82 brooklyn games...there is no way teams like pho and min could be worst, to much talent there.

Phi and Lal...one surprise team, that it...pick will be top 5.

Well they have a back to back tonight against the knicks at the garden. I think they lose that one.

And they have a pretty tough schedule for the rest of November. Outside of phoenix and Lakers i don't see any winnable games for the nets until December.

I see them going 4-9 for November leaving them at 5-12 going into December.

No reason to overreact.

4-10 range was/is my prediction, not better than last season, not overreacting but there's already a pretty big difference between 0-7 record and 3-4 I think =)

glad some Nets fans are getting into the discussion and becoming happy about maybe not ending as one of the worst 8 teams in the NBA while still holding no own picks for '17 & '18

Yeah, Brooklyn is still going to suck.

I also have to eat crow on Atkinson.

Pick's losing its value with each Nets win. So much for stashing assets. Might be worth nothing by the trade deadline. There's a lot of teams that can potentially finish worse.

The panic and hyperbole is real in this thread.

Looks like they'll just be a bad team and not an absolute laughing stock. I think I can still live with that.

It took the Nets 14 games to get to 3 wins last season. It's taken them half that this year. Do the math. They were 1 of 2 teams at the bottom of the standings early last year. There's currently 9 teams with a worse record and a handful more tied. Do the math again.

I dont know how much talent the Suns and wolves have. I mean yeah towns/Wiggins look to be really good players and already posting all-star type numbers. but it takes alot more then just that. look at cousins/davis situations for instance. those guys put up monster numbers.

Wolves issue is that its all youth. not veterans, and thibs runs his starters into the ground, which with young guys means growing pains. especially without the vets. i think the nets bridge that talent gap between them and the wolves with the vets/experience/coaching a bit.

The wolves also i dont think are supremely talented. there are some high ceilings but currently a lot of REALLY young guys with along way to go before they start learning how to win.

The suns... i mean booker is nice. bledsoe and knight have nice numbers. but overall to me thats not some super great team. they are a dragan bender better then last year, which wasnt very good with chandler not getting younger and not much of a system or culture.

Using the same math the Hornets will end with a better record than the Warriors, the Lakers are making the playoffs and Philly/New Orleans ain't winning a game.

But I'm only talking about the Nets, who are clearly sitting in a much better position than last season. Sorry if you can't see that.

some of us have been saying they could surprise to the upside for months. Still, this is a loaded draft and as long as the pick is in the lottery there should be a similar if not better talent to Jaylen Brown for us to choose. Higher is of course better. I still think the Nets will eventually have a fire sale which might cost them games and keep them among the worst teams.

I can see that, but when you say things like their pick "might not be worth anything by the trade deadline", you need to check yourself.

Also if you want to try to apply that math to the Nets then logic dictates that the math would apply to everyone else.

There's some absolute stinkers in the league atm, it's like the 2013-14 season all over again. Miami, Milwaukee, Orlando and the Pacers are all pretty bad too. I can see the Nets taking any of those teams

Yup. 100% right.

This nets team is a tough game for any team. Yeah, they're not talented enough to win a lot of games, but they know what they do & can't do & play to their advantages. It's honestly impressive. & They're easy to root for.

I don't know where their sched is so hard?

Just in Nov they got Nyk, Phx, Lal, Ind, Sac. Smh. They're supposed to start 0-10 & we can just chill.

The pick will still be top 5. Dallas,Pelicans and Wizards can't stay this bad all season. With abit of luck and great drafting we will be adding a very good piece to our squad. Just believe.
