I am againdt Tyreke. If you hate dribble into the ground guards, you would hate him.

Reek is not the answer, in fact he would piss us off, I'm quite sure of it.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
I wonder how much of a factor the fact that the Suns traded so much for Knight plays a role in McD's reluctance to trade him. McD is a very good GM, he knows that Knight isn't working out and will have to be traded.
But the fact that it's taking this much time (albeit we're only 8 games in but trades have already taken place in the NBA) tells me that maybe he or Sarver is stubborn in wanting something that's at least close to the value of that LAL pick back for him.
I really hope not and that there's no saving face thing going on. Made a mistake, move past it. McD has done more than enough positives for this franchise that nobody can rationally bash him for this one bad move.

How many trades really happen this early in the season though? It takes 2 to make a trade and other teams won't be likely until the trade deadline.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
I don't think Tyreke is the answer, but I'd prefer not have Knight on the team. Just to get out of his contract and get a guy that, if healthy can provide a little ball handling on the second unit and at least has a higher than 2-1 ast/to ratio, pulls down over 5 boards and last year shot 38.8% from 3.
But not as much for that as for having an expiring contract instead of 4 more years of Knight.
But I can't see them trading him for Knight unless they just don't feel comfortable he can stay healthy long term and don't want to re-sign him. However, they already have Holiday, E'Twuan Moore, Frazier, Galloway, Hield and now Goodwin so I don't think they really need another PG or SG. They usually had Tyreke playing SF, so they wouldn't want Knight anyway.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
Knight for Jeff Green?
Expiring plays Pf/sf he could small ball start for Duds or bump Tucker's min if he plays well idk
Looking at the lowest scoring teams right now it Philly,Orlando and Miami.
We've exhausted philly ideas. We could work something with Orlando for sure.
Was going to say we could trade the tank commander to the Heat for Dragic but I won't.

I want more for Knight than just an expiring.
I know that his value around the league probably is lower than never right now...but he is under contract for the next few years (good thing with the new salaries), good locker room guy and he can be instant offense coming from the bench on any team.
I would wait.

I'd take a flyer on Green.
McD suprised me with the value we got back for Kieff but I don't feel like Knight's value will rise much. He's been on 3 teams in 5 seasons, I don't think there's a ton of value for him.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
I tell you what, I'm watching the Pistons game right now and this is what I referenced about Bledsoe before. IF he takes control of this team and makes it his team, he looks damn good. I've always been a fan of Len and he finally looked good tonight. Bender however, Looked like Len when he was a rookie. Just throwing the ball up at the hoop when he gets it down low, he still needs a lot of work, no wonder he's not playing much right now. I think Bledsoe/Booker/Warren are our point scorers of the future on this team, but they need to play their role. I like the point that Albert and Johnson made about Booker being the distributor when Bledsoe is hot. Those 2 could be a very dangerous tandem for other teams in the future. I definitely agree that we don't need Knight on this team for any reason, we have plenty off the bench imo. I think we have a good strong core of young players right now and would hate to see that broken up. IMO, our core consists of Booker/Bledsoe/Warren/Len and potentially Chriss. i would love to put Bender on that list, but it's going to take a lot of work from him like Len put in for him to be there.

Did you watch Len in the last game? He looked better there than any rookie in any game. Tonight, not so much, but all these guys will have growing pains. No rookies looked good tonight though.

agreed, and I'm assuming you're talking about Bender, not Len. But he has looked good at points this year, but tonight he just looked clumsy, like Len used to.

I would trade Knight to Portland for Napier/Turner. Blazers fans aren't very happy with Turner right now and Napier is the perfect PG off the bench IMO.
I would also just trade Knight straight up for Turner. But then again, I wouldn't want to hear and see Knight here Portland either.

Evan Turner is garbage. He's an all around awful basketball player, Portland overpaid him for so much. There's no way I would want to bail them out of that contract.
Blazers are gonna have to add either Lillard or McCollum as an asset to dump Turner if they ever wish to do that...he's truly that bad.
I'll keep Knight and just trade him for Jeff Green straight up rather than being stuck with arguably the worst contract in the league.

I don't mind Bender having a bad game because that was his first bad game. I'm expecting a lot more bad games from and Chriss since their like so young.
I agree with you about Booker being facilitator when Bledsoe is hot like that. When they give Booker opportunities as playmaker, he usually delivers. He only hogs the ball when he never touches and finally touches it after a while. With Warren's moving without ball ability, those 3 should work well together. I think Bender at the 4 works too cause he doesn't force anything and has good court vision.

Ah...so I see you haven't met Mr. Frank Lee on the Forums yet...

I didn't need to see a graph to tell me that we foul too much. If we could honestly stop with fouling so much we'd be one of the better defensive teams (top half) in the league.

Chriss probably deserves most of his calls but I agree with you, to a certain extent the problem is just the way refs are calling us right now. Hopefully that will change as we gain a reputation for this style of play and as we start winning more.
