It may be only six games in, but the Clippers are only giving up 89.4 points per game. Just for comparison, the Utah Jazz are giving up the second least points at 94.4 per night, five more. Combine that with opponents shooting just 40.3%, once again, the best in the league and nearly a percent above the second placed Miami Heat. They also ranked third in turnovers forced, behind Dallas and Atlanta, second in points per shot, 10th in rebounds, second in steals and eight in assists-to-turnovers.

On the flip side, Portland has been a tough offense, behind Damian Lillard, to contain, as they ranked third in points scored per game, with 110.3, just a tenth behind Cleveland for the second slot, sixth in field goal percentage at 46.5%, third in three point percentage and second in points per shot. They have surpassed the century mark in every game, with half the eight contests eclipsing 110, albeit two went into overtime (they had already passed the century mark at the end of regulation in both contests).

think tonight will be a good test to see where our defense withstands a strong offense.

would really like to be able to see them sub 100 points so we can put a nice big "#1 defense" rubber stamp on the team

Will be there tonight. Hopefully my streak of never seeing a Clipper loss in person stands.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

Hoping we can get another win tonight, Blazers will be tough. I'll be following this one online.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

for years i've wanted to see a clipper lineup where all 5 players could switch on the fly and keep their matchups contained no matter the situation.

actually seeing it happen is wonderful.

I love how there were 3 Clippers in the paint underneath the basket with one taking out a Blazer for the defensive board on one sequence. This really is a joy to see.

clips need to run this up to 40 instead of pissing opportunities away on contested 3's.

it is really, really weird to be able to count the number of defensive breakdowns you've seen on just one hand.

but super duper cool, too
