Good, now he can pay me back for all the stress he put on my heart.

It's not a bad deal. I mean, it's kind of high, but so is almost every NBA contract these days.
Right now, OKC reminds me of the Magic after Shaq left. Westbrook is their Penny, Oladipo is their Nick Anderson.

Now OKC got his best friend Jerami Grant too. Great two days for Dipo.

I consider this a pretty good deal for the Thunder. But whoever said he wouldn't have taken this from the Magic hit the nail on the head IMO. I think Vic would have been looking for the max from Orlando.
Heck despite what he's said in the past, perhaps Vic sees himself as the perfect second-in-command.

Fournier accepts his roles given to him by coaches and plays them. He also is better at SG.
Oladipo makes sense for OKC because they have a real star on their team. He can't be a diva there like he was for Orlando.
Wait. When was Dipo ever a diva here in Orlando? Dude literally accepted a 6th man bench role that was given to him.
No he did not. He was very clear that he did not like coming off the bench.
Not liking coming off the bench and being a DIVA are not the same thing. It actually made him play even harder when he was in there. He was player of the game his first game off the bench and got to carve the turkey.

I wouldn't say he got to the level of being a diva, but he was definitely showing 'signs'. He for sure didn't hide his discontent during post game interviews.

And in the locker room. He was becoming a "me" guy who thought he was the star of the team.

usually you can extend a player for significantly less than giving him a new contract during free agency, sacrificing flexibility and increasing risks an so on. please keep in mind that we probably could have extended both tobias and evan for around 12-13 mil per year, but in both instances we opted for flexibility.
hmmm, havent really seen the case you are painting. An extension for any good player is more times than not a max or extremely close to it. Not "significantly less"
ultimately it depends on your definition of significantly less. but ability to make a decision as late as possible, with as much information about both the subject and external factors holds great business value anytime, everytime. oppurtunity cost is a thing. flexibility is a resource just like money and you may sacrifice from one to gain in another.

For the next few years all contract are going to seem like overpays, but it's probably a decent enough deal.

Jerian is his best friend. Jerami is two years younger than them.

I would like to mention that through a small sample size of 8 games, Victor Oladipo is shooting 40 percent from 3 point range, on five 3 point attempts per game.
But again, small sample size. His overall field goal pct is not good, but that long range shooting is an interesting development so far.
If he maintains that level of shooting from deep, the Ibaka deal may prove to be regrettable. If not, then we're good.

It could still prove to be a bad deal because of Sabonis. That kid is very talented and can space the floor.

I think he's just another Euro stretch 4 who can shoot the 3, but doesn't really bring anything else to the table. Nice guy to have off of the bench, but that's pretty much it. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I don't see it. I watched a few OKC games and I doubt we would have drafted him if we kept the pick.
He doesn't suck by any means, but I just don't think he will be the reason the deal is looked at as bad.
If we can trade Ibaka in a package and land a true scorer, the deal will end up being to our advantage.

He has a nice post game already, he can pass very well for a big and plays very good defense for a rookie. He is not just someone who can shoot but sucks at.

Of course not, he was traded. You'll lose sleep over Ibaka.

The season is 8 games old, and Ibaka like 8 other players...are in a new system. I watched the 2011 Miami Heat start 9-8, and they had Lebron, Wade, and Bosh.
A complete overhaul of the roster isn't going to produce results right way. NBA history proves that. I'm not worried about Ibaka.
