Clippers are playing the best right now, but can they stay healthy...or CP3 I should say. I still like Harden's chances of winning MVP if the Rockets win 50 games and if he leads the league in assists and top 3 in scoring.

None of those guys watch any games that aren't on TNT. Chuck said last night Mcdermott was struggling shooting the ball this year and the Bulls need him to make shots. He's shooting 53%.

don't i know it, right?

just super apparent. i really do respect the legit analysts who have time to watch even more than 1 game a night. it's just so much time consumed.

Demar should be in the top 3 discussion right now, but I don't think he can keep it up, I'm being a realist and not not on a bandwagon hype machine, nonetheless he's playing on God-mode Jordan level right now, it's just simply fun to watch at the moment.

Didn't Kenny say the Warriors would go 77-5 this season?

I find it hard to put anyone above Demar right now. Also Kemba needs to be in the discussion for MVP, not saying hes the MVP but his name needs to be brought up at the very least

In no order

Harden
Westbrook
Paul
Durant
Curry
LeBron
Derozan
Davis

Davis doesn't have a change because his team is god awful but rest of them have pretty good chance to win. The MVP race haven't been so interesting for years.

remember kobe did not win the MVP in 05-06. even though he averaged 35 a game and lakers were 7th seed 45 wins. Your team needs to be winning 55-65 games. chris paul could win it if steve nash did

My ranking if the nba was over today
1) Harden (5-3, 31/13 is out of this world)
2) Cp3 (But I think the clippers are going to start losing)
3) Lebron (Coasting like always, still 7-1 with 23.5/9/9, i think he will end up second or first)
4) Durant (He is lowkey playing some of the best basketball of his career, perfect fit, if the warriors were 9-0 he'd be much higher. He is scoring like crazy for percentages and quantity, great rebounding, i don't know if he played a bad game yet)
5) Derozan (personally i think he is the MIP. He probably will not win it cause that award normally is not given to that type of player, but daaaamn. He was always a good player, but until last year lowry was arguably the leader of the team, this year derozan is almost the whole team. Best scorer in the league in those 3 weeks, 34 point with 53%.
6) Russ (31/9/9)
7) CUrry (He's playing good, he struggled with his 3 point shot in the first games, but 27/6/3 with 50/46/88 playing 32 minutes. Damn)
8) AD (Unbelievable in the first games, he obviously came down to earth, 31/11/2/2/3 with 50 % and 82 from the ft line are NOT human stats, but his team is awful, 1-8, so, he's not in the mvp conversation)

Others in no order lillard, great scoring and quite good team, kemba, kawhi. The rest of the world is quite distant

If Derozan averages 30-32 a game leading the league in scoring with 5 reb/4as 45%FG and raps win 60 games would he be a front runner for MVP?

Anthony Davis has no case over Blake Griffin as a PF this year individually or in the MVP race. Blake's metrics are better, defense has been much better and he himself is putting up 23/11/4.5/1.5 spg PER 36 offensively. Combine that with the best record in the league and Davis' team being 0-9 or whatever and yea, no case.

It doesn't matter what people "think". The data combined with team record place him above Davis this year and he's having a better year as a PF. Although if you're concerned with what official rankings are in media...

http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/mvp.cgi

Blake 6th in MVP odds/rank, Davis not top 10.

http://www.nba.com/article/2016/11/11/mvp-ladder-week-1-2016-17-russell-westbrook-leads-way-begin

Blake 4th, Davis not top 10.

CBS also has Blake way ahead of Davis.

49/54.

They won 56 last year, they didnt get any worse, and the East, for as much as people said it got better, seems to be the same. They'll probably win 50, but I wouldnt discount a Hawks 2015 like run and see them win 58/59/60 games

LeBron should win it if he can maintain 24-9-9 with 50% FG and Cavs being 1st seed. If not then I would go with Harden or Westbrook as long as Rockets or Thunder are top 3 in he west.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.
