Brooks didn't bamboozle anyone, he took Ernie's panic money.

You know who else is benefitting from EG's panic money? Secondary market ticket buyers, that's who. Just ask BigA.

Trey Burke's birthday is today. Had himself a nice game again. His PER was an astounding .2 going into the Boston game and he raised it up to a 9.5 from that one performance. Interested to see where it sits now.

Kelly also had a good game. And Sato continues to look legit. The bench has talent, they just have to figure out how to play together.

Where is Nicholson? Why did he fall out of the rotation? He should be playing over Jason Smith. Smith needs to be put out of his misery, he's so bad. Vesely on his worst day wasn't as bad as Smith has been.

Didn't like the decision to go tiny and play Sheldon McClellan in crunch time. Thornton was some crap tonight, but Sato was hot. He should have gotten those minutes.

Lastly, that was some **** heinous and one sided officiating. I am right there with John in getting frustrated with these clowns. **** tired of the refs **** on him and the rest of this team.

Are you kidding? While 21-45 is not a good record not only is it not one of the worst records in the history of the NBA but the Wiz record was 20-46 that same year.

It wasn't that bad though. I've missed last 6-7 minutes but first three quarters were quite good. It should be better in a week time. Burke started to play like a good guard, Sato continues to be efficient, Otto is Ottomatic, Wall will limit his TO/A ratio and Gortat will start play slightly better with time. My only concern is Beal who doesn't seem to have a good flow this season. I expect max players to be at least productive, nothing spectacular.

They still have that promotion? That's going to be so sad and demoralizing for the players when they're getting pounded by the Pistons or somebody and there are 50 people left in the stands yelling for the chicken sandwich.

And the Cavs covered the 7.5 point spread with a 9 point win.

If I had time I'd start a blog that would track games with questionable calls that affect results against the spread and officiating crews. The NBA never really addressed the integrity of officiating in the wake of the Tim Donaghy scandal. I suspect that there's lots of looking the other way and this may be tolerated as a way for the refs to earn some extra money.

Selfish game from Wall. Brooks has his work cut out trying to get Wall to stop taking so many long 2s.

I didn't notice the long twos. I don't consider 15 footers as long twos. Sato took a long two when he had one foot on the line. That's where he probably was thinking about the Euro 3-pt line. I have more of a problem with three assists. Otto and Gortat need a point guard to get them going.

BTW. When you wonder why we can't shoot threes and Nicholson doesn't get off the bench. But then again, Jason Stiff was +10 so I guess Brooks made the right choice (LOL).

Yeah, there are 4 or 5 teams every year with a worse winning % than that. He might be mixing up with Bobcats 7-59 record that same year. That was the worst, and I remember it well, as the Wizards ticket sellers kept trying to pawn off Bobcats tickets on fans.

Last season Wall shot 37.5% from 12-18 feet. Call them whatever you want he shouldn't be taking those shots unless it is near the end of the clock.

Wall's a streaky shooter, and he was on in the first half. With Beal out and Thornton stinking we didn't have the weapons to compete, so for this game I didn't have a problem with his taking mid-range shots.
We really didn't have much of a chance with:
Cleveland's superior talent
our 3 pt defense (worst in league)
Cavs great 3 pt shooting (best in league)
our 3 pt shooting (worst in league)

Cavs 3 pt defense actually hasn't been so hot, which highlights our 3 pt shooting ineptitude even more.
There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics — quote popularized by Mark Twain.

Yeah, but he didn't shoot 37.5% against the Cavs. His shooting wasn't what took us out of the game. It helped us be in the game.

I don't really care if he happens to shoot better than average in a given game. He shouldn't be shooting those shots early in the clock. He can get those shots at the end of the clock any time he wants.
