Sure am glad all those other teams saved the Cowboys from themselves.

That's why the fact they ended up with Dak makes him so special. I'm still in shock that he's turned out this good.

Now that you got your wish getting the QB you wanted, can we get to work on the defense this upcoming draft? lol.

You would certainly hope so...

Most definitely! Lol I also think they should spend some money in free agency on the defense. Sheldon Richardson, and Jaime Collins will be free agents. The Jets shouldn't franchise Richardson but Cleveland may franchise Collins. I also hope they can get a stud MLB out this draft.

I love the LB pick for sure. But there is also one other position on the defense I want and you both know what it is.

Yea they obviously still need a DE or two. I don't their a premier pass rusher will be there when they pick though. Unless they can trade Romo for a 1st and then trade up in to the top 10.

Mr B wrote:Great read! Thanks for posting that. That's what I have been preaching and will continue to preach. They likely will not have this opportunity again. Like I said, I can understand the desire to draft a defender but this is a throwing league and with Romo now being injury prone and with MAYBE 2 years left they need to look towards the future. I do not want to see this team repeat the mistake is made when they failed to have a plan in place for Aikman's retirement.

Mr. B was right and hit jack pot. What else can I say, :wavefinger:  :naaa:

I was hoping for Wentz but have been blown away with Dak Prescott.

I want to change this thread heading. If the Cowboys want a few cracks at the upcoming Super Bowls, now is the time to draft DEFENSE !!!!

Won't matter if we draft all stars on both sides of the ball. As long as we have Garrett and Richard scheming the game plans, we are not going anywhere despite all the talent.

He's played like a top 5 QB this season. Much like we lucked out with Wilson. I think you guys got your franchise guy also. I would take him over Wentz. He's the best QB in that division by far. Jerry needs to pay up. Cause...like you say, the price isn't coming down.

To go from Romo to hitting on another guy right away, is very impressive.

Btw, you can thank the Hawks for saving you from taking Paxton Lynch.

Yeah... really hate that Jerry missed out on Lynch AND Wentz. No secret he wanted either one of them at different points of the draft that year.

Even more fun... Cowboys took Dak with the compensatory pick they got when the Iggles signed Demarco Murray.

Good times.

Unless something utterly unforeseen happens in the next 6-8 weeks, that coaching issue will take care of itself after this season ends.

If Cowboys lose to Bills today, I'm predicting Garrett will be fired tomorrow or before next weeks starts.

Nah. He’ll finish the season. Mainly because I wouldn’t make anyone in this staff interim HC.

I warned all of you 2 years ago about Elliot. I wanted to get rid of him then but I understand why we can't with the current contract. But before the 2016 NFL draft I did say and post this.

Not sure if they are playing games with everyone, but Cowboys are telling us now that they are targeting Elliot. Unless you guys think he is the "GUY", I don't think this is a good pick for us at all. Do you guys see the next Dorsett or Smith in him? I don't.
