10 teams are currently sitting on worse records than the Nets. Probably a few more if they beat Phoenix tonight. You're about a season behind, as Philly and Brooklyn aren't the two worst teams again like last year.

How the **** did the Nets get this cupcake early schedule? Every time I check boxscores they're playing some scrub team. I guess that bodes well for later in the season. Can't even stay .500 playing a bunch of **** squads.

yeah, it's official, the Nets are definitely not a bottom 5 team or better yet, they're not even a bottom 10 team.
They've succeeded in winning a few games with no point guards and Lin may come back from injury sometimes next week which should boost them.

Nets should lose the next two. @ Clippers @ Lakers. Nets schedule has been really easy so far. They're still a bad team,and wouldn't make the playoffs.

The pick should be in the 3 to 5 range. 6th at worst. Only team worse than the Nets are the Philadelphia Sixers, and New Orleans Pelicans.

That's not how that works. Keeping it or trading it are equivalent risks. It's the Efficient-Market Hypothesis: other teams that would trade for it have the same information about the Nets as we do, and so are going to value it comparably to how we will at any given point in time.

If the Nets overperform and it loses value, well, that sucks, but that doesn't allow one to use hindsight to pretend you could have managed the asset better.

Congratulations on hovering just below .500 for now, in the soft part of your schedule, before Lopez gets traded.

nets win again behind good coaching, pace, threes, and effort. thats going to be the recipe all year... will it be 22-24 wins or 28-30 wins? hard to say with so much basketball to play. 4-5 could be 4-8 or 5-10 after the nets home game vs you guys. but even at 5-10 thats still a 27 win pace and with a team that plays hard and is well coached who could steal some late wins when tank commanders kick it into gear...

I dont think its out of the realm of possibility the nets close in on 30 wins, i dont think they are a lock bottom 3 team. id agree, talent wise probably worse or bottom 2. but coaching and effort go along way when you compare to the other bottom dwellers.

should be interesting. i rpedicted 24 wins but 29+ wouldnt be a huge surprise
