I really wish it had been Elizabeth Warren vs Mitt Romney, but this election was super entertaining.

This was all a product of Obama, who was a product of Bush, who was a product of Bill Clinton getting brain in the oval office. It finally came into full circle.

Americans just wanted balance. Maybe trump will surprise us and work both sides of the isle. Paul Ryan has me feeling uneasy, though.

Dems only have themselves to blame sadly. Picking Hillary over Sanders was a huge huge mistake and they are paying for it. The fact that Hillary lost despite the insane media support, celebrity support and Obama's support tells you all you need to know on how bad of a candidate she was. She wasn't even fit enough (literally). I'm not a Trump supporter by any means but I can clearly see why Hillary lost. She was a terrible candidate. If she was good, she would have beaten a terrible inexperienced candidate like Trump with the massive support that she got. I felt bad for Sanders. He was by far the best one but sadly Dems preferred Hillary. That being said, I think Trump deserves a chance to prove himself at least. I don't think he will do the terrible things he talked about during his campaign. He will behave like a president now and I'm sure he will start thinking differently about lots of things.

Btw, this is the best thing Trump ever tweeted.

You were talking about Hillary. On a side note, here is something strange that I found out about her regarding her health. I thought all the weird videos of her shaking and not being able to climb steps were false flags and satire. It turns out it may be Parkinson's disease. Whatever, the campaign was trying to hide it. The photographer who took this in September 2016 got paid $100,000. This person said she was shaking inside the vehicle.

She's going to win the popular vote by over a million votes.

The key was 3 or 4 states where non college educated voters bought into Trump's promises to bring back factory jobs which went to low wage countries and now are being automated to minimize use of workers.

Trump isn't going to do half the things he's talked about.

He's an intellectual lightweight who will sign whatever Republicans like Paul Ryan put in front of him. Just like Bush before him.

I can't stand Trump. At all. I don't tend to vote for many democrats, but I was hoping that Hillary would win. I didn't want to see Trump's brand of politics stamped with the validation of victory. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking Clinton wasn't a lousy candidate. Some will argue that the money the Clintons have made is legit, but to most folks any politician enriching themselves by many tens of millions of dollars as a politician is by definition corrupt. Both parties managed to nominate among the most historically un-liked candidates ever. I ended up writing-in someone I could feel good about. Couldn't vote for either of these two.

We need to demand more of our politicians. Trump is what happens when we the people allow corruption to flourish. A lot of people voted for Trump not because they are racists or bigots or whatever (although Trump did make a comfortable home for those types in his campaign), but because they want to "drain the swamp" that is Washington D.C. I have big doubts as to whether anyone of Trump's character and temperament is up to the task, but I understand the sentiment.

I will say openly that I voted for Trump.
I do recognize the socio-economic differences across USA cuz I have driven through it.
I don't believe HIllary won the majority of the vote cuz both her and Trump got less than 50% - Trump got 30 of the 50 states. That is a majority. Hillary got like .4 percent more than Trump in the popular. Trump got more of a majority cuz of his states.
The main reason I did not vote for Hillary is cuz she is tied to George Soros, who is an economic terrorist and a self proclaimed war criminal as a Nazi collaborator and said he liked it yet the media (who Soros owns part of Time Warner) think Trump is the bad guy???

You do realise that the Koch brothers put in a billion dollars every election to buy republicans? you do realise that Sheldon addison puts in over half a billion to buy republican policies? You do realise that lots of other billionaires buy republican policies every election cycle? Yet Soros is the scary one? When you going to wheel out saul alinsky?

It's a myth that any republicans have any ideas. The only republican principles these days is to cut taxes on the wealthy, peel back social progress in the US for all minority groups, increase the military, deny science, and take womens reproductive rights back to the 50's.

Name one republican who doesn't want to do all these things?

trump even said on the campaign that women should be jailed for having abortions, so yeah, I know you're not in the tank for Trump or anything, but it's laughable to me, that people think republicans will do anything other than these things. Mike pence (uber christian) is now head of trumps transition team, so he will be the one assigning positions to the people that he wants in government. Unless you are a white Christian straight male, then you're rights are about to take a hit. Big league ( to use a trumpism)

I am a big fan of Elizabeth Warren. I would have much rather seen her than Hillary run (would have preferred even Biden for that matter) but unfortunately she was promised the nomination by the Democratic nomination if she stepped aside when she was running against Obama in the 2008 primaries. Democrats really blew this one, in every way imaginable. And I agree, this election had to be the most entertaining one ever (providing it didn't cause one to flip out).

I also agree with waiting and seeing what Trump actually does now that he's in, He's already started to back off a lot of the rhetoric he put out there during the campaign. And as for Ryan, I believe the way he's now acting (as a result of Trump winning) Trump now has him in his back pocket.

He's going to do what he can now to make things work. He knows how the American people feel about politics in general and with the mid-term elections coming up in just two years, the Republicans better get their acts together if they want to keep their majority in the House and the Senate, So we'll see.

I see from your stuff that you know your political stuff so this will be good.
What person does Trump owe anything?
Hillary herself in a video conference stated that the goals of Soros align with her political ideology. Its why Trump brought up his name in one of the debates, but many don't know who he is unless you really follow politics. Her campaign chair Podesto reportedly hands out with Soros with their extreme left wing agenda. There are videos of them hanging out together. You can youtube it.

Soros has said that the destabilization of the USA is his ultimate goal before he dies. (he is quoted)
The man that has funded 6 coups in foreign countries and collapsed two economies by himself and has stated he wants to do it to the US economy
The man has been quoted on how he would destabilize America would be to fuel black hate since he finds the black community the easiest to manipulate. (its rumored that he funded the Ferguson riots as well as the anti-Trump rallies now)
The man on 60 minutes stated that at 14 he turned over his own Hungarian Jews over to the Nazi's and it was the best time of his life.
The dude help kill his own mom...
and the Liberal media (who Soros owns some of them) thinks Trump is bigot? Soros is hated by Asange (wikileaks) and Anonymous as well as having an arrest warrant in Russia. Many don't know that, but since you brought up the movers and shakers in politics you must have known that. Is it any wonder that Russia and Wikileaks were out for Hillary? Its cuz Soros was in her pocket.

It's also a giant warning about the state of American education and culture. Even though I live in an area that is anti-trump overall, there are still Trump voters here and I've overheard conversations from some of them. They believe everything the right-wing media tells them - they do not see any inconsistencies or hypocrisy in their positions, they have no memory of the past (blaming Dems for war in Iraq, etc).

If I thought they would learn from the next 4 years I would be somewhat heartened, but I honestly have zero hope of that. My only hope is to outlive them.

Nobody will say honestly that they voted for him, but where did the votes come? His win wasn't any good for Australia.

exactly. everywhere it sounds like 70-80% voted for hillary. and yet trump got the majority. what i would like to know are who the people are who voted for trump and claim hillary after. voting for trump and arguing their case is one thing, but voting for trump and claiming hillary is just... pathetic. i have alot of respect for people who voted trump and say: i voted trump. they know they will have to spend the next 5 hours arguing their position, but at least they will be able to look themselves in the mirror and know they weren't a chicken. can't stand political correctness. i was never pc and i have gotten into many disagreements even on this board because of it.

also, i think there's alot of overreaction. yes, trump got really heated during the debates and lost his cool on multiple situations. he was new to it; how many honestly think they could have reacted differently? He was a different man the moment the results were in and the heat was off. Trump isn't going to go mad and do a bunch of stupid stuff. you guys had Bush and you are worried?
nothing much is going to happen... as always. people fear-mongering are just begging for approval.

sorry if i offend anyone as my rant is rather specific and some might feel its personal as its directed towards them, but this is just how i feel about the whole mess.

>>I hate Obama, Clinton and Michael Moore now.<<

Add Greg Popovich. For someone who doesn't give interviews, just STFU with your progressive liberal opinions.

It's not like I really hate these people, but their double standard and fearmongering. The kids protesting now are afraid from all the stuff these people put out. Obama doesn't have real leadership skills. He needs a teleprompter. Hillary Clinton would lie, cheat, steal and kill (?) to win an election. Michael Moore is a multi-millionaire looking for photo ops and to put forth more fear.

EDIT: Add George Soros.

I signed up for DJT on Twitter. He says some interesting cr*p to counter his critics like the NYT. Also, I heard he's going to get Obama's @POTUS account for official tweets, but his personal stuff is a riot. It's more fearmongering. Fear motivates people.

"Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 2h2 hours ago

The @nytimes states today that DJT believes "more countries should acquire nuclear weapons." How dishonest are they. I never said this!"

Just putting this here; for context in regards to popular vote.

If you didn't have the electoral college, then New York and California would most likely decide every election. The founders had issues with the idea that Philadelphia/Pennsylvania and other high population areas would decide most elections.

Founding Fathers put in the electoral college and the senate to get smaller states to join and ratify the constitution. So you have tiny states like Deleware getting two senators like New York, which has at least 10 times the population. You also had nonsense like slaves being counted as 3/5 of a white male, so that states with a lot of slaves got more representation.

People cluster to the big cities because thats where the jobs, schools, culture, etc are. But the election was decided in some counties in MI, WI, PA and OH which has seen job losses which aren't coming back.

You can add to the list of people not happy about Trump winning most of the Warriors players and Kerr. Curry isn't too political and he may be more conservative because of his Christian upbringing.

I hate racism. BUt you only see the stuff for the racist Trump vote cuz you probably follow left wing media. DId you see 3 black guys pull out that old white man out of his van and stomp him. How about that Westside Highschool incident. Its not just Trump backers. Its always been there and if you didn't see that than like the DNC said, you were probably living in a bubble and its the main reason the DNC lost the election.

KKK did vote for Trump. You going to blame ISIS on Obama? You cant and cant say Trump is behind the hate. Stupidity and ignorance on both sides are behind it. The only difference between the perceived racist nature of Trump and Soros is that Soros has admitted to liking the killing of his own people.. I don't know if you are old enough, but you going to blame GOP on relations with Russia. DO you remember Reagan / Gorbachov? Russia was a threat to America since the World War, who had DNC Presidents. If you going to shed light on world history and news please be aware of the other side that you choose not to see.

I find it ironic that the DNC calls the Trump vote the uneducated or misinformed politically and yet they choose the ignore Soros evil regime. To be real, Hillary had an agenda for Gadolfi. but Trumps plan is pretty much against Soros.

Trump is bad but Soros is just evil

Just putting this here; for context in regards to popular vote.

If you didn't have the electoral college, then New York and California would most likely decide every election. The founders had issues with the idea that Philadelphia/Pennsylvania and other high population areas would decide most elections.

precisely. when the Hillary backers say they aren't having their voices heard is kind of ridiculous in regards to the actual numbers. They had their voices heard for the last 8 years and now its the others turn.

Oh man, you've been brain washed to the max.

Americans in particular Republican Americans have been against Russia for 100 years!

Now that they are led by a Fascist in Putin you want to align with them? And you're calling Soros evil?

You voted for Trump who is supported by KKK a white supremacist organisation that wants to eliminate all other races? And you are telling me Soros is the evil one?

Are you totally ignoring the fact that there are hundreds and hundreds of attacks against minority groups in the name of Trump? And you are telling me Trump is the good guy? Are you kidding me? Or maybe you hate minority groups and are happy with what is going on?

I did see that footage that you speak of and it's horrible but for every time there's 1 of those happening there's 100 more going the other way with Trump supporters abusing minorities. FAR FAR more of those abusing minorities it's not even close. It's the equivalent of pointing out that Barnes can do a complicated move maybe once in a hundred games whilst curry can do them every other game, the comparison isn't even close.

How is ISIS blamed on Obama? That's the most ludicrously stupid things that Trump claimed that isn't even remotely true. You know Trump just says these things because he knows his gullible audience will believe him right? You don't actually believe him do you?

It's not a perceived racist nature of Trump, he was blatantly obvious. He was saying racist things, nobody is manipulating his words, he said them himself. He referred to a story about John Preshing an American Military Leader from WWI where he supposedly said (proved to be untrue but this was said nonetheless) he shot 49 muslims with bullets smeared in pig's blood (to ensure they wouldn't get to Islamic heaven) and told the 50th to go back home to tell his people of what he witnessed here. You truly cannot be more evil than use a story like this to inspire hatred within your audience in order to get votes.

You say you hate Racism and yet you voted for a man who publicly said Racist things regularly. Worse than that, much worse than that is the fact that he has galvanised people who are outwardly Racist. Now those Racist people feel like it's their right to act out with horrible racist attacks because of Trump. How could you?

I have hope...that the apparently very upset disenfranchised blue collar part of the USA got to "stick it to the man" .... and in a few months, the same IQ'less sex predator vulgar business vulture will be impeached for overtly steering the US into the side of a mountain.
